Introduction
A log stores information such as the applications and master data that you use in Exact Globe
Next. In this screen, you can clean up the application logs, master data logs, and XML import results. By deleting the logs, you can reduce the information maintained in your administration.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update 411 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I clean up the logs?
- In the screen, select an option at the Type field to
define the type of logbook to have the log details deleted.
- At Before, define the date to clean up the log details
that are before the specified date.
- Click Delete. A message "This process may take some
time. Continue?" will be displayed.
- Click Yes.
Fields
Type
Select one of the following options to clean up the corresponding log details:
- Application Log — Select this option to clean up the application logs that are generated every time applications are started in the system. You can obtain an overview of application logs by clicking the Application log button at System ➔ General ➔ Online monitoring. For more information, see Overview of application logs.
- Master data Log — Select this option to clean up the master data logs that record all the changes made to the master data settings. These logs include the Bill of Materials (BOM) log, which can be viewed under the Log tab of the BOM maintenance screen. You can obtain an overview of master data logs by clicking the Logbook button at System ➔ General ➔ Settings.
- XML results — Select this option to clean up the XML import results which are the log of events when importing XML files to Exact Globe Next. You can obtain an overview of XML import results at XML ➔ Other import ➔ Results. For more information, see Overview of XML import results.
- Analytical accounting Log — Select this option to clean up the analytical accounting logs that record the changes made to the processed entries via the Analytical accounting screen. This screen is accessible at Finance ➔ General ledger ➔ Analytical accounting, Assets ➔ Entries ➔ Analytical accounting, and HR ➔ Entries ➔ Analytical accounting. Before
Type or select a date to clean up the logs dated before the specified date.

Delete
Click this to delete the log details.
Close
Click this to exit.
