Overview of service calls

Introduction
Service calls allow customers and internal staff to request for services through phone. Information such as the account number, contact information, description of the case, and other information can then be recorded. In this screen, all the created service calls are displayed. From this overview, you can:
-
view the account details of the selected service call
-
view the details of the contact person of the selected service call
-
modify existing service calls
-
delete the selected service calls, or
-
create service calls.
Fields
You can filter the service orders that you want to display by entering your search criteria and clicking Search. The service orders that match the search criteria you have defined are then displayed. A list of options will be displayed if you click at Account, Resource, and other fields. From the list, make your selection and click Select.
Note: It is possible that not all the columns are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Search
Click this to search for entries based on the defined criteria.
Clear
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
Number of rows
Type the number of rows to be displayed for each page. If you have set the default number of rows to 10, then 10 rows will be displayed. Therefore, if you have more than 10 rows listed, you will see the Previous and Next buttons.
Previous
Click this to return to the previous page of entries.
Next
Click this to display the next page of entries.
Filter
Select starts with, contains, or equal to search for entries with a certain letter or word.
Click this to expand the search criteria. You will see the Selection section. Click Filter again to hide the search criteria.
Selection section
Type
Select the type of service call to be displayed. You can select any of the following:

All — Select this to display all the service calls. By default, this is displayed.

Service external — Select this to display all the external service calls.

Service internal — Select this to display all the internal service calls.
Priority
Select the priority of the service calls to be displayed. You can select any of the following.
-
All — Select this to display service calls with any priority. By default, this is displayed.
-
Urgent — Select this to display service calls which are urgent.
-
High — Select this to display service calls with high priority.
-
Medium — Select this to display service calls with medium priority.
-
Low — Select this to display service calls with low priority.
-
Long term — Select this to display service calls with long term priority.
Account
Type or select an account to display service calls with the selected account. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls with any account.
Item
Type or select an item to display service calls with the selected item. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls with any item.
End date
Type or select a date to display service calls which will end on the selected date. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls with any end date.
Status
Select the status of the service calls to be displayed. You can select any of the following:

All — Select this to display service calls with any status. By default, this is displayed.

Open — Select this to display service calls which are still open.
-
Realized — Select this to display service calls which are realized.
-
Rejected — Select this to display service calls which are rejected.
Resource
Type or select a resource to display service calls in charged by the selected resource. By default, the login user will be displayed.
Project
Type or select a project to display service calls linked to the selected project. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls that are linked to any project.
Action
Type or select the action to display service calls which require the selected action. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls which require any action.
Description
Type a description to display service calls with the defined description. You can also leave this box empty to display service calls with any description.
Buttons
Account
Click this to view the details of the account for the selected service call. For more information, see Creating and maintaining accounts receivable.
Note: This button is enabled only if an external service call is selected.
Contact
Click this to view the details of the contact for the selected service call. For more information, see Creating and maintaining contact persons.
Note: This button is enabled only if an external service call is selected.
Edit
Click this to view and/or modify the details of the selected service call. For more information, see Creating and maintaining external service calls or Creating and maintaining internal service calls.
Note: This button is enabled only if a service call is selected.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected service call. A message “Delete” will be displayed. Click Yes to delete the service call, or No to exit.
Note: This button is enabled only if a service call is selected.
New
Click this to create a new service call. The Activity types screen will be displayed. Select Service external to create a service call for debtors, or Service internal to create a service call for resources. Click Select to continue. Close
Click this to exit.
