You can print operation slips for operations involved in a production order by clicking the Print button at Manufacturing/Entries/Operations control. This menu path is available when you select the Operations check box at System/General/Settings/Manufacturing settings. To print operation slips for operations involved in the production order, the Print check box at the operation maintenance screen via Manufacturing/Setup/Operations must be selected. If you use the default operation, then the operation slip will not be printed as the Print check box is not selected by default.
At Manufacturing/Entries/Operations control, select a production order and click Print. The Print: Operation screen will be displayed.
Select Trial to print a preview of the operation slip of the production order.
Note: To enable a preview of the operation slip, select the Print check box in the operation maintenance screen. The system by default will pre-select the Output medium as Printer. By selecting Trial, the operation involved in the production order will not be updated to Printed status.
Select Final to print the operation slip of the production order.
Note: To obtain a printout of the operation slip, the Print check box in the operation maintenance screen must be selected. When you select Final, you may choose the preferred Output medium. By selecting Final, the operation involved in the production order will be updated to Printed status. The following Output section is enabled only if Final is selected.
Select Printer to send the operation slip to the printer for a printout.
Note: The operation slip will be sent to a printer defined at the Form printer via the File pull down menu.
Select E-mail to send an e-mail of the operation slip.
Note: By selecting this, the E-mail, Subject, and Long description will be enabled. The e-mail will be sent based on the settings defined at the E-mail section of the Output tab via System/General/User settings. Each operation slip will be sent individually as an attachment in the e-mail.
Type the e-mail address of the recipient.
Type the subject of the e-mail.
Type a description for the e-mail.
Type or select an appropriate layout to be used for the operation slip. This is mandatory.
Note: If the Layout field in the operation maintenance screen at Manufacturing/Setup/Operations is not defined, then the layout selected here will be used to print the operation slip. Otherwise, the system will use the layout defined at the Layout field in the operation maintenance screen at Manufacturing/Setup/Operations.
Note: You can select only the layouts that are maintained at the Operation field at System/General/Settings/Document settings.
Select this check box to compress the production order lines with the same item code into a single line.
Note: Serial/batch item lines with ID will not be compressed. If this check box is not selected, then these production order lines will not be compressed.
Select this check box to compress hour item lines with the same hour item code into a single line.
Note: Hour items that are planned with different resources or machines will not be compressed. Hour item lines are compressed separately within every operation step even when the same hour item exists. If this check box is not selected, then hour item lines will not be compressed.
Select this check box to print a separate line for waste quantity next to the original item line.
Note: If the Compress items check box is selected, then waste lines with the same waste item code will be compressed. If the Print waste check box is not selected, then waste item lines will not be printed.
Select this check box to print the operation instructions that are defined at the operation maintenance screen at Manufacturing/Setup/Operations.
Note: If this check box is not selected, then no operation instructions will be printed.
Click Print to preview and/or print the operation slip.
Note: The operation slip will not be previewed or printed if the Print check box at the operation maintenance screen at Manufacturing/Setup/Operations is not selected.
Click Close to exit.
