PU 423|422|421 (Globe) and 500|422|421 (Globe+): Log4j vulnerability resolved (Spanish legislation)
In this product update, we have resolved the log4j vulnerability and
further improved the necessary measures to safeguard your electronic data
exchange. As previously released, the log4j vulnerability affects files related to
functionalities used in the Spanish legislation. For more information, see Product Updates 423, 422, 421, and 420: Remove and replace files to prevent log4j vulnerability (Spanish legislation)
With these latest improvements, we advise you to run your product
updater at your earliest convenience to replace these files and strengthen the
security of your application and system.
Auto
removal for affected files
When you run the latest product updater, the affected files in the
following areas will now be removed automatically:
- Tax declaration
model 390 (Modelo IVA 390 – 2011)
- Inteco XBRL
- e-Factura
Note: The auto removal for affected files applies to all legislations apart from the Spanish legislation.
New component replacing log4j
A new component, Chilkat, will replace the log4j component in related
files on your system. You will be able to exchange electronic data (send and
sign invoices, and others) safely.
After running the product updater and specifically for Inteco XBRL, you
will need to click Reset once at Finance > Reports > NOB sin
Cierre > Mantenimiento Categ.Oficiales. This reset updates the database to
give you the correct output in Microsoft Excel.
For e-Factura, note that the existing certificate maintenance in Company
data settings remains unchanged.
