How-to: Using SQL script for automated creation of background jobs for Exact Synergy Enterprise
Introduction
This document provides the steps on how to
use the SQL script to perform multiple background jobs concurrently. The SQL
script has been attached and can be downloaded in this document.
Description
With every installation of Exact Synergy
Enterprise, there is a number of background jobs available that perform
specific tasks on the database. These background jobs are performed with
parameters and can be scheduled via Microsoft SQL Server Agent or Windows Task
Scheduler. The background jobs are scheduled every 30 minutes.
The SQL script contains several variables
that need to be inserted before the SQL script is executed. The variables are:
- Server
- DBCONFIG
- BaseURL
- Location
- TempDrive
- Exchangesrv
- Login
Note that the created background jobs are disabled by
default and can be enabled in Job Activity Monitor.
How do I use the SQL script?
- Download the SQL script that has been attached in this document.
- Open the SQL script in SQL Server Management
Studio.
- Execute the SQL script on the master database.
