This page allows you to merge assortments or assortment codes. However, the new assortment must be created before the old assortment can be merged with the new assortment. If the old assortment has items with file attachments, the item releases of the old and new assortment must match or the assortments cannot be merged. For more information on item releases, see Overview of Item Releases. The item releases, items, documents, projects, and attachments of the assortments will be merged. Once the assortment has been merged with another assortment, the merged assortment will no longer exist in the system. For example, if assortment “001” is merged with assortment “002”, assortment “001” will no longer exist in the system.
To merge assortment codes or assortments, function right 488 – Allows to recode and merge Assortments is required. Users with the Item management role have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Click this to merge the assortments or assortment codes. After you have clicked this, you will see a confirmation message that confirms the successful merging of the two assortments.
