How-to: Uninstalling Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS)
Introduction
Exact Lightweight Integration Server (ELIS) is a composite solution used to host the external
solutions (developed by Exact or third parties). ELIS can work with
different versions of Exact Synergy Enterprise and Exact Globe Next whereby
multiple versions of the solutions and products can be supported on the same
server (on the same installation).
Scope
This document describes the following:
- Uninstalling ELIS and the management
console component in the server.
- Deactivating and removing the product packages
before the uninstallation.
Uninstalling ELIS
Before you uninstall ELIS, it is
recommended that you deactivate and remove the products that are registered in
ELIS. This prevents conflicts of data connection from occurring in the
future.
Deactivating and removing ELIS products
Once you have logged in to the ELIS
management console, the following screen will be displayed and the ELIS
products will be displayed on the left panel:
To deactivate a product, select the product
under Products on the left panel in the Exact Lightweight Integration
Server Management Console screen and the selected product will be displayed
on the right panel.
Select the product that you want to
deactivate on the right panel in the Exact Lightweight Integration Server
Management Console screen, and then click Remove.
Once the product has been successfully
deactivated, the product will be removed from the list on the right panel.
The product can then be removed from ELIS.
To remove the product, click Products on the left panel and the available
products will be displayed on the right panel.
Select the product that you want to remove
on the right panel, and then click Remove.
The selected product will not be displayed
in the list once the product has been successfully removed.
Removing ELIS
Once the products that are registered in
ELIS
are removed, you can uninstall ELIS.
- Go to Start ? Control Panel ? Programs and Features.
- Select Exact Lightweight Integration Server in the
Uninstall or change a program screen, and then click Uninstall.
- Click Yes. The message “The setup must update files or
services that cannot be updated while the system is running. If you choose to
continue, a reboot will be required to complete the setup.” will be displayed.
Click OK.
- Once ELIS has been uninstalled, Exact Lightweight
Integration Server will not be displayed in the Uninstall or change a
program screen.
You can also uninstall ELIS by clicking Start, and then selecting Exact Lightweight Integration Server.
