Creating and editing shifts

Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Shifts
Introduction
This screen allows you to modify details of a shift as well as create a shift.
Keep in mind: This screen can only be accessed if:
- You have SE4130 — Exact Visual Scheduler in your license.
- The Operations check box is selected at System ➔ General ➔ Settings ➔ Manufacturing settings.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is based on product update 404. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I edit a shift?
- From the Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Shifts screen, select the required shift, and then click Open.
- In the Shifts screen, make the adjustments, and then click Save.
How do I create a shift?
- You can create a shift by clicking New from the Manufacturing ➔ Setup ➔ Shifts screen. Alternatively, select a shift, and then click Open.
- In the Shifts screen, click New.
- Fill in the code at the Shift code field and click Save.
- Fill in the required information and click Save.
Keep in mind: All fields with the ! icon are mandatory.
Fields
Shift code
Type the code for the shift.
Working day section
Working day
Select the check box in this column to indicate the required working day.
Start time
Fill in the time when the work starts.
End time
Fill in the time when the work ends.
Break section
New
Click this to fill in a break for the shift.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected break.
Description
Fill in the description for the break.
Start time
Fill in the time when the break starts.
End time
Fill in the time when the break ends.
Scheduling break
Select the check box in this column to indicate the duration of the break that will be deducted from the shift. You can only select one break to be deducted.
