Batch 370: Non-perpetual inventory actual cost and quantity in e-Project and e-Manufacturing reports/overviews

Background

 

 

This is with reference to Release Note on Non-Perpetual Inventory , where in a Non-Perpetual Inventory (NPI) environment, stock transactions in the warehouse do not have direct consequences in the financial system. However, for logistic purpose, the stock information is necessary in analysis and decision making.

 

When using e-Project and e-Manufacturing in Exact Globe 2003, the actual cost and quantity of the stock transactions are required to be shown in reports and overviews, for example to give the total cost of projects and enable calculation of profit margin, or the cost of material usage in production process.

 

 

What has been changed

 

Currently for legislation:

 

Inventory Setting (menu path: [Systems / General / Settings / Inventory Settings]) will have the option to select Non-perpetual inventory. When selected, certain inventory transactions will be ‘hidden’ for financial purpose. Refer release note Non-Perpetual Inventory for details.

 

However, for reporting in e-Project and e-Manufacturing, the actual cost and quantity will remain to be shown.
