Introduction
Service configurations represent the individual and unique objects that can be serviced. These objects can be individual products or combinations of products that can be serviced. This page allows you to search for service configurations that have been created.
Roles and rights
To search and view service configurations, function right 850 – View service configurations is required. Users with the Service desk, Service engineer, Service planner, or Service manager role have this function right.

The information in this document is based on product update 250.
How do I search for service configurations?
- On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
- Click Show.
How do I view service configurations?
- On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
- Click Show.
- Select the required service configuration that you want to view under the Configuration column. For more information, see Viewing service configurations for Service management.
How do I create service configurations?
- On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the Division under the Criteria section.
- Click Show.
- Click New.
- Define the fields.
- Click Save. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configurations for Service management.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.
How do I view the total number of service configurations?
- On the Service: Search – Configurations page, define the fields.
- Click Count. The total number of service configurations will be displayed based on the search criteria.
- Click Result to view the list of service configurations based on the search criteria or Search to return to the Service: Search – Configurations page.
How do I clear the customized fields?
- On the Service: Search – Configurations page, click Default.
Tips and tricks
You can customize the fields and columns that you want to be displayed on the page by clicking Customize.
Buttons
Show
Click this to display the service configurations based on the search criteria.
Reset
Click this to clear the search criteria.
Count
Click this to display the total number of service configurations.
Default
Click this to clear all the customized search criteria.
Search
Click this to define the search criteria.
Note: This button is available only if Show is clicked.
New
Click this to create a service configuration. For more information, see Creating and maintaining service configurations for Service management.
Note: This button is available only if Show is clicked.
Close
Click this to exit.
Fields
Criteria section
Division
Type or select a division to display the service configurations for the division. By default, your division will be displayed.
Configuration section
Configuration
Type or select a configuration to display the service configurations with the selected configuration.
Account
Type or select an account to display the service configurations for the account.
Service address
Type or select an address to display the service configurations with the selected address.
Item
Type or select an item to display the service configurations with the selected item.
Serial number
Type or select a serial number to display the service configurations with the selected serial number.
End date
Type or select the date or range of dates to display the service configurations with the selected dates.
Blocked
Select this check box to display the service configurations that are blocked.
Engineer
Type or select an engineer to display the service configurations serviced by the selected engineer.
Location
Type a location to display the service configurations with the defined location.
Parts section
Item
Type or select an item to display the service configurations with the selected item.
Serial number
Type or select a serial number to display the service configurations with the selected serial number.
Quantity
Type a quantity or range of quantities to display the service configurations with the defined quantity.
Contract section
Contract
Type or select a contract to display the service configurations with the selected contract.
Contract account
Type or select a contract account to display the service configurations with the selected contract account.
Project
Type or select a project to display the service configurations with the selected project.
View section
Include (Lines)
Select the Configuration Items check box to display service configurations with configuration items and/or Configuration item parts check box to display service configurations with configuration item parts.
Columns section
This section displays the service configurations based on the search criteria defined. However, the service configurations will be displayed only if you click Show.
