Viewing related opportunities
Menu paths
- Go to Modules ? Logistics ? Reports ? Search ? Items, click Show, and then click the required item in the Code column.
- Go to Modules ? Projects ? Reports ? Search ? Projects, click Show, and then click the required project code in the Project column.
- Go to Modules ? Customers ? Reports ? Accounts ? Search, click Show, and then click the required account name in the Account name column.
- Go to Modules ? Suppliers ? Reports ? Search ? Search, click Show, and then click the required supplier name in the Supplier column.
- Go to Modules ? HRM ? Reports ? People ? Search, click Show, and then click the required name in the Name column.
- Go to Modules ? HRM ? Setup ? Organization ? Divisions, click Show, and then click the required division code in the Code column.
Introduction
On this page, you can track the progress of opportunities linked to different entities, such as projects, people, items, and accounts.
Roles and rights
- The security level of the opportunity card is set within the limit or range of the person. If the security level in the opportunity card is higher than the security level of the person, the person will not be able to access the opportunity card.
- The person is the owner of the opportunity card.
- The person is the manager of the owner to the opportunity card.
- The person is the creator of the opportunity card.

What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update 258 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I view opportunities linked to people, projects, items, or accounts?
- On the respective page, click Opportunities.
- Define the relevant criteria.
- Click Show.
Keep in mind: If the Opportunities icon is not displayed, click Customise at the title bar on the respective page, and then select the Opportunities check box under the Monitor section. Save the setting and click Close.

Close
Click this to exit.
Refresh
Click this to display the results based on the defined criteria.
Reset
Click this to clear the defined criteria.
New
Click this to create a new opportunity.
Note: This is available if this page is accessed from the Monitor sections of either the:
- Account card at Modules ? Customers ? Reports ? Accounts ? Search, or
- Personal card at Modules ? HRM ? Reports ? People ? Search.
Fields
Criteria section
Person / Item / Project / Account
Type or select an employee ID to view all opportunities linked to the person, the item code to view all opportunities linked to the item, the project code to view all opportunities linked to the project, or account code to view all opportunities linked to the account.
Note: The field displayed is dependent on the menu path you have clicked to view the opportunities.
Involvement
Select the involvement level of the respective entity for the opportunity. For example, if you are viewing opportunities related to a person, you can select Created to display all opportunities created by the person, Owner to display all opportunities that are owned by the person, or Owner: Manager to display all opportunities that are owned by the subordinates of the person.
Description
Type a full or partial description to search for the opportunity that matches this description. Click the icon to change the way the search is conducted. These include:
- Starts with – This option searches for text beginning with the defined criteria.
- Contains – This option searches for text that contains the defined criteria.
- Equal to – This option searches for text that is the exact match as the defined criteria.
Deal
Select the opportunity status to display opportunities with that status. Select Undecided to display all opportunities that are still in progress, Win to display all opportunities that are won, or Lost to display all opportunities that are lost. If you leave the field blank, it will display opportunities for all statuses.
Start date
Type or select the date or date ranges to display opportunities with the defined start dates. Fill in the first date field only to search for opportunities that have a start date from that date onwards. Fill in the second date field only to search for opportunities that have a start date before that date.
End date
Type or select the date or date ranges to display opportunities with the defined end dates. Fill in the first date field only to search for opportunities that have an end date from that date onwards. Fill in the second date field only to search for opportunities that have an end date before that date.
Follow-up date
Type or select a follow-up date or a range of follow-up dates to display the opportunities with the defined follow-up date(s). You can select a type of date range from which the system will automatically generate the exact follow-up dates for the selected period, such as <All>, This year, This quarter, This month, This week, Today, Yesterday, Last days: 7, Last days: 30, Last days: 90, Last days 365.
Define the first follow-up date field only to display opportunities with the defined follow-up date and opportunities with follow-up dates thereafter.
Define the second follow-up date field only to display opportunities with the defined follow-up date and opportunities with follow-up dates prior to the one defined.
Sales cycle
Type or select a sales cycle to display opportunities linked to the specified sales cycle.
Stage
Select the sales cycle stage to display opportunities that are currently in that stage of the sales cycle. The options available here depend on the selected sales cycle.
Note: The Sales cycle field must be filled before this field can be used.
Account
Type or select the account code to display opportunities linked to the account.
Division
Type or select the division code to display opportunities linked to the division.
Item
Type or select the item code to display opportunities linked to the item.
Project
Type or select the project code to display opportunities linked to the project.
