This document provides the steps to creating and maintaining activity types.
Apart from using the activity types that have been predefined by Exact Globe Next, it is also possible for you to create your own activity types. Activity types are various kinds of activities involving your accounts and your business.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.
The identification number of the activity type is displayed here. The identification number is automatically assigned by Exact Globe Next, and cannot be changed.
Type the description for the activity type.
Select this check box to activate the activity type.
Select the template for the activity type.
Click this to repair an activity type, and Exact Globe Next will automatically create a different set of fields.
Click this to generate a print preview of an activity type.
Click this to save the newly created activity type, and to save all the changes that have been made to an existing type.
Click this to create another activity type.
Click this to exit.
This column displays the sequence of the fields to be displayed in the activity request layout.
This column displays the names of the fields.
This column displays the suffix of a field.
This column displays the user-defined labels of the fields.
This column displays whether a field is mandatory or not mandatory while the activity request is in the open or realized status, or in both the open and realized statuses.
This column displays whether the field can or cannot be edited while the activity request is in the open or realized status, or in both the open and realized statuses.
This column displays the default values to be defined for the fields.
This column indicates whether a field has a selection list created. A green check mark indicates that the field has a selection field.
Click this to add a field to an activity type.
Click this to edit a field belonging to an activity type.
Click this to delete a field belonging to an activity type.
