Creating and maintaining reason codes

Introduction

In Exact Globe, you can create and maintain reason codes that you use in Return Material Authorization (RMA) orders, Return to Vendor (RTV) orders, and Scrap. Reason codes indicate the reasons for returns made by your customers, returns from you to suppliers, and also reasons for recording an item as scrap. Go to System ➔ Logistics ➔ Reason codes and click New to create a new reason code, or click Open on a selected reason code to view or edit the reason code.

Description

Code
Type a unique code when creating a new reason code. When editing an existing reason code, you cannot change the code.

Reason
Type a reason when creating a new reason code. You can also edit the description/reason for an existing reason code.

Used in section

RMA orders
Select the RMA orders check box if you want to use the new reason in RMA orders. 

RTV orders

Select the RTV orders check box if you want to use the new reason in RTV orders. 

Scrap

Select the Scrap check box if you want to use the new reason in scrap. 

Note: For an existing reason, you can edit the Used in section by selecting or clearing the three check boxes. The check boxes selections are indicated by a green check mark at the search results page at System ➔ Logistics ➔ Reason codes. 

Description NL/FR/ES/DE
Type the reason of the selected reason code in Dutch under Description NL, in French under Description FR, in Spanish under Description ES and in German under Description DE. Apart from the default language, a maximum of four other languages can be used. The languages used for descriptions are set in System ➔ Settings ➔ General settings under Descriptions in list boxes.

Buttons

Save
Click Save to save all the changes made to a reason code. 

New
Click New to create another new reason code. 

Close
Click Close to exit.
