Creating and maintaining absence requests

Introduction

In this screen, you can use create and maintain absence requests. Different types of absence requests can be created for the same person and for the same period of time. For an example, an employee can be on vacation and still be sick at the same time.

You have to select the absence type in order to create an absence request. There are two absence types, which are:

  • absence types with the use of absence entitlement (for example, holidays), and
  • absence types without the use of absence entitlement (for example, maternity leave).

How do I create absence requests?

  1. In the Absence card screen, click Absence. The Absence screen will be displayed.
  2. At Absence type, select the absence type of the request.
  3. At Person, select the person for whom this request is created.
  4. Type the reason of absence at Reason.
  5. Define the duration of the absence at Start date and End date, as well as the start time and end time in the boxes next to these fields.
  6. Click Save. Once the request is saved, the Absence screen will be closed automatically.
