Introduction

Exact Globe Next allows you to create budgets based on several scenarios. This feature enables you to create budgets for different scenarios based on your forecasts for long or short term periods.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, click New.
2. Define the fields.
3. Click Save. A warning message “This action can’t be undone. Plan period = Monthly. Continue?” will be displayed.
4. Click Continue.
5. Click Close. For more detailed information, see Creating and maintaining budget scenarios.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

Note: The plan period displayed in the warning message depends on the option that you have selected at the Plan period field.

How do I view a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Click Search and select a budget scenario to be viewed.
3. Click Open.

How do I delete a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Click Search and select a budget scenario to be deleted.
3. Click Delete.
4. A message “Delete the data selected? Depending on the size of your company, this function may take a long time because all files will be checked. All Existing budget lines from target project will be deleted.!” will be displayed, and then click Yes.

How do I block a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Click Search and select a free budget scenario to be blocked.
3. Click Block.

How do I unblock a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Select Block at the Status field to view all the blocked budget scenarios.
3. Click Search and select a blocked budget scenario to be unblocked.
4. Click Unblock.

How do I activate a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Click Search and select a free budget scenario to be activated.
3. Click Activate.

How do I deactivate a budget scenario?

1. In the overview of budget scenarios, define the search criteria.
2. Select Active at the Status field to view all the active budget scenarios.
3. Click Search and select an active budget scenario to be deactivated.
4. Click Deactivate.
