Creating and maintaining subsectors

Introduction
This document provides you the steps to creating and
maintaining subsectors.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product
update 407. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained
here will not be applicable.
How do I create a subsector?
- Go
to System ➔ General ➔ CRM ➔ Subsectors.
- Click
New.
- At
Code, type the code for the subsector.
- At
Sector, click to
browse and select the sector to which the subsector belongs.
- At
Description, type the description for the subsector.
- At
Policy, click to
attach a policy to the subsector.
- Click
Save, and then click Close.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are
mandatory.
How do I edit the description of an existing subsector?
- Go
to System ➔ General ➔ CRM ➔ Subsectors.
- Select
the relevant subsector.
- Click
Open.
- At
Description, type the new description for the subsector.
- Click
Save, and then click Close.
Fields
Code
Type a unique code for the new subsector. You can type up to
10 alphanumeric characters. After saving the code, it can no longer be edited.
Sector
Type or select the sector to which the new subsector belongs.
Description
Type a description for the new subsector or edit the
description for the existing selected subsector.
Policy
Click to
attach a policy document to the subsector if there is a policy stipulated to
define the subsector.
Buttons
Save
Click this to save the changes made to the description of
the subsector and to save the newly created subsector.
New
Click this to create another subsector.
Close
Click this to exit.
