Creating kanban orders in Exact Globe Next

Introduction

In this screen, you can create kanban orders to allow for efficiency in registering costs and output from production that is not planned, and in making adjustments on reported costs.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is based on product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create a kanban order?

1. In the Production orders screen, click Kanban.
2. In the Kanban order screen, define the required fields.
3. Click Generate.

Keep in mind:

• When the Kanban button is clicked, a validation is performed to ensure that the production general ledger fields are defined under the General ledger section at System ➔ General ➔ Settings ➔ General ledger settings. Once this is validated, the Kanban order screen will be displayed. If the validation does not pass, a warning message will be displayed. For more information on the production general ledger fields, see General ledger settings.
• Once the Generate button is clicked, and the Warehouse, Item, and Quantity fields have been validated, then the kanban order is created with the printed status.
