Product Updates 419, 418, and 417: Improvements in the interfacing for electronic submission of VAT returns, EU sales lists, and payroll via DIGIPoort (Dutch legislation)
Digipoort will now replace Business Application Programming
Interface (BAPI), which has been discontinued. Digipoort will be fully utilized
for the electronic submission of VAT returns, EU sales lists, and payroll.
In addition, to ensure efficient submission, the switching
of the available endpoints will be made available. This enhancement will
facilitate the switching between the two available endpoints and the changing
of digital certificates for the electronic communication during the tax
submission. It will also reduce the connection disruption risks during the tax
submission.
Digipoort end points
The Digipoort endpoints can be selected at the newly added
dropdown field Digipoort end point in General ledger settings
(accessible via System ➔ General ➔
Settings ➔ General ledger settings).
Note: The Digipoort end point field will be accessible only to users with the Administrator role.
The available endpoints
can be selected via these options:
- dgp.procesinfrastructuur.nl
- dgp2.procesinfrastructuur.nl
By default, the
dgp.procesinfrastructuur.nl option is
selected at this field.
Note: The endpoints will be used for the submission of VAT returns, EU sales list and payroll tax returns. Since the endpoints will be used only in the submission phase, the process of generating the final VAT return, EU sales lists, and payroll tax returns remains as per existing implementation.
When sending the VAT return, EU declaration, and/or payroll tax returns, the tax information will be sent to the respective endpoint. The endpoint acts as an address that is used for the communication with Digipoort.
To make sure that the communication with this endpoint works correctly, a set of certificates that belongs to this endpoint needs to be installed on the machine(s) from where the declarations are sent. It is important to install these certificates when changing the endpoint.
In addition, as the certificates for the dgp.procesinfrastructuur.nl endpoint will expire on February 29, 2020, you can now easily change to the dgp2.procesinfrastructuur.nl end point at any point of time after this product update with the respective certificates installed in your machine(s).
Note that from February 2020 onwards, the dgp2.procesinfrastructuur.nl end point will be selected as the default end point. However, you will still have the flexibility to change the end points at any time according to your requirements.
BAPI menu path removed
As BAPI is no longer supported for the electronic
submission, the menu path System ➔ General ➔
Returns ➔ Send via BAPI has been removed.
