Classifications are used to group your accounts (suppliers and customers) according to certain characteristics, such as whether the business is independently or publicly owned, whether it is a domestic or multinational corporation, whether it is major player in its field of business, and so on. For example, you can group your accounts into corporate accounts, international distributor, large enterprises, and medium enterprises.
On this page, you can view a list of existing classifications. You can also create classifications, or modify or delete existing classifications on this page.
All users are able to access this page to view the classifications. However, to create, modify, or delete classifications, function right 319 – Maintain classifications is required. By default, users with the Customer manager role have this function right.
Note:
The information in this document is applicable to product update 240 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon is mandatory.
Click this to update the results.
Click this to create a classification. For more information, see Creating and modifying classifications.
Note: This is available only if you have function right 319 – Maintain classifications.
Click this to delete the selected classifications.
Click this to exit.
You can delete a classification by selecting the corresponding check box, and then click Delete. To select all the listed classifications at once, select the check box at the header of the list. Clear the check box at the header of the list to clear the selection of classifications at once.
This column displays the order of the classifications.
This column displays the codes of the classifications. You can click the hyperlink to view or modify the corresponding classification. For more information, see Creating and modifying classifications.
This column displays the account types of the classifications.
This column displays the descriptions of the classifications.
