A project order is a Time & Material or Fixed project which is linked to a sales order. In this screen, you can create a single or multiple project orders at one time, depending on whether you have clicked New or Multiple respectively. Creating a project order saves you a lot of time because when you generate a project order, a Time & Material or Fixed project and sales order are created concurrently and linked to each other.
Type or select Time & Material or Fixed to define the type of the new project order(s). Then, type a code in the box next to this option. This is mandatory. By default, the system will automatically generate and display a code. To edit, type a different code. The corresponding sales order will also have the same code.
Note: The project code is displayed and can be edited only if you are creating a single project order.
Type or select an item to link this item to the project order(s). This is mandatory.
Type or select a debtor (suspect, prospect, or customer) account to link this account to the project order(s). This is mandatory.
Note: This is available only if you are creating a single project order.
Type the description of the project order(s). This is mandatory. By default, the description of the selected item will be displayed. To edit, type a different description. The corresponding sales order(s) will also have the same description.
Type or select the planned start and end date of the project order(s). By default, the system will fill in the current date as the planned start date and end date.
After defining the criteria, click Generate to start generating the project order(s) for the selected account.
Click this to start generating project order(s) for the selected account(s).
Click this to create a new project order.
Click this to exit.
