HRM à Setup à Competency management à Competences

Introduction

On this page, you can create competences without the need to link them to competence groups, or edit existing competences in the system.

Note: This menu path will only be available if you set the competency method to Advanced in the HRM general settings. For more information, see Defining HRM general settings.

Roles and rights

To create and modify competences, function right 508 – Maintain payroll components is required. Users with the HR role have this function right.

Notes:

  • For more details on function rights, go to System à Setup à Security à Function rights.
  • For more details on roles, go to System à Setup à Security à Roles.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is based on product update 251.

How do I create competences?

  1. On the HRM: Competences page, click New. The HRM: Competence - New page will be displayed.
  2. Define the required information.
  3. Click Save to save the entry, or Save + New to save the entry and to create another competence.

Keep in mind: All fields with the "!" icon are mandatory.

How do I modify existing competences?

  1. On the HRM: Competences page, click the corresponding hyperlink under the Code column.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Make the necessary changes, and then click Save.
