This screen allows you to create and maintain the payment conditions for the sales orders, service orders, or sales quotations.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 410 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Due
Type or select the due date for the payment condition. By default, the due date is displayed based on the due date in the payment condition(s) in the sales order condition, service order condition, or quotation condition screen.
Payment date
Type or select the date of the payment made by the customer for the payment condition. By default, the number of days for the payment condition is displayed (based on the Number of days defined at System ? General ? Countries ? Payment conditions, under the Terms tab).
Note: The Payment date will be displayed once the invoice for the payment term has been generated.
%
Type the percentage of payment for the payment condition. By default, the payment percentage is displayed based on the payment percentage in the payment condition(s) in the sales order condition, service order condition, or quotation condition screen.
Amount
Type the amount of the payment condition. By default, the amount is displayed based on the amount of the payment condition(s) in the sales order condition, service order condition, or quotation condition screen.
Note: You only have to fill in % or Amount. If you fill in %, the value in Amount will change based on the defined value at %. If you fill in Amount, the value in % will change based on the defined value at Amount.
Cur.
The default currency for payment displayed is based on the Currency defined in the sales order condition, service order condition, or quotation condition screen under the Payment data section. This information cannot be edited.
Days
Type the number of days for the debtor to be entitled to a discount for early payment. For example, if Days is “10”, the debtor will be entitled to a discount for settling the payment within 10 days. By default, “0” is displayed.
Discount
Type the amount of discount the debtor will be entitled to for early payment. For example, if Days is “10” and Discount is $100, the debtor will be entitled to a discount of $100 for settling the payment within 10 days. By default, “0” and the Currency defined in the sales order condition, service order condition, or quotation condition screen under the Payment data section is displayed.
Note: The Discount box is enabled only if Days is greater than zero.
Cash instrument
Type or select the bank account where payment will be deposited. By default, the bank account displayed is based on the Account number bank defined at System ? General ? Settings, under Company data settings in the Numbers section. You can create bank accounts at Cash flow ? Cash instruments ? Maintain.
IBAN
This field displays the IBAN of your own bank account defined at IBAN in the Maintain bank account numbers screen. For more information, see Creating and maintaining bank account numbers.
BIC code
This field displays the BIC code of your own bank account defined at BIC code in the Maintain bank account numbers screen. For more information, see Creating and maintaining bank account numbers.
Method
Select the method of payment such as Cash, Cheque, Chipknip, Collection, Credit card, Debt collection, EFT, Factoring, Letter of credit, On credit, Payment on delivery, Post dated cheque, or Settle. By default, On credit is selected.
Debtor
Type the name of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the debtor displayed is based on the Invoice to debtor defined at the Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen.
Note: Changes made to the name of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), and the Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen.
Address
Type the address of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the address displayed is based on the Address 1 defined at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), under the Basics tab.
Note: Changes made to the address of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance à Accounts receivable à Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), and the Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen.
Postcode
Type the postcode of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the postcode displayed is based on the Postcode defined at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), under the Basics tab.
Note: Changes made to the postcode of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), and the Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen.
City
Type the city of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the city displayed is based on the City defined at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), under the Basics tab.
Type or select the country code of the invoiced debtor. By default, the country code displayed is based on the Country defined at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), under the Basics tab.
Note: Changes made to the city and/or country code of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), and the Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen.
To Cash instrument
Type or select the invoiced debtor’s bank account number. By default, the bank account number displayed is based on the Bank account defined for the invoiced debtor at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor), under the Financial tab in the General section.
IBAN
This field displays the IBAN of the offset bank account defined at Bank account under the Financial tab in the accounts receivable or accounts payable maintenance screen. For more information, see Creating and maintaining accounts receivable – Financial tab and Creating and maintaining accounts payable – Financial tab.
BIC code
This field displays the BIC code of the offset bank account defined at Bank account under the Financial tab in the accounts receivable or accounts payable maintenance screen.
SDD mandate
Type or select the SDD (SEPA Direct Debit) mandate for the payment term. This SDD mandate will be linked to the invoice term which will be used for the SDD batch processing.
Note: This field is enabled only if the currency of the invoice term is “EUR”, the country code of the debtor’s IBAN bank account number is within the SEPA region, and the method of payment is “Collection”.
Description
Type the description for the payment term.
Payment reference
Type the invoiced debtor’s payment reference for the payment term. By default, the payment reference displayed is based on the Your reference defined in Sales orders, Service orders, or Quotations screen. To define the Own reference information, click . You can type up to 140 characters in the text box
Note: The Payment reference will display the reference number of the invoice once an invoice has been generated for the payment term.
Blocked
Select the Blocked check box to block the selected payment term whereby the payment term cannot be processed at Cash flow ? Payments ? Process.
Notes
Click to add notes to the payment term. For more information, see Creating and maintaining notes.
Note You may not see all the buttons. The All, Previous, and Next buttons are enabled when you split the payment term or when you specify less than “100” at the % (percentage) field.
All
Click this to view all the payment terms of the selected sales order, service order, or quotation.
Note: This button is available only if there is more than one payment term.
Advanced/Simple
Click Advanced to display more criteria and click Simple to hide the criteria.
Previous
Click this to display the previous payment term.
Note: This button is available only if there is more than one payment term.
Next
Click this to display the next payment term.
Note: This button is available only if there is more than one payment term.
Split
Click this if you want the selected payment term to be divided into two equal parts. For example, if the Percentage of the payment term is “10%”, and you click Split, the payment term will become two payment terms of 5% (whereby Percentage is “5%”).
Save
Click this to save the changes made to the payment terms.
Close
Click this to exit and return to the sales order conditions screen.
