Introduction

This page displays the Entry and Reports tabs, which contain the features and/or processes for the Shop Floor Control (SFC) system.

Roles and rights

To access this page, the Administrator, Shop floor control, or Professional role is required. In addition to that, the following requirements need to be met:

Exact Integration

You have to install Exact Integration for the synchronization of data between Exact Globe Next and Exact Synergy Enterprise. For more information, see How-to: Installing Exact Integration.

Exact Shop Floor Control

You have to install Exact Shop Floor Control to have the custom resolver and config file installed. For more information, see How-to: Installing Exact Shop Floor Control.

Exact Globe Next

• You have, at least, Exact Globe Next product update 406.
• You have the SE4000 – E-Production license in your Exact Globe Next.
• The Operations check box under the Operations section at System ? General ? Settings ? Manufacturing settings is selected.
• At least one user must exist at System ? HR & Security ? People.

Exact Synergy Enterprise

• You have, at least Exact Synergy Enterprise product update 251.
• You have the YA4010 – Shop floor control license in your Exact Synergy Enterprise.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 255 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I enable the Production module?

1. Log in to your Exact Synergy Enterprise. If you have been assigned the Shop floor control role in Exact Synergy Enterprise, the Shop floor control page will then be displayed. If you do not have the Shop floor control role, skip to step 3.
2. On the Shop floor control page, clear the SFC Interface check box, and then click Login to see your database in the Exact Synergy Enterprise user interface.
3. Click Preferences.
4. Click the Menu tab.
5. Under the Top section, click Production, and then click .
6. Click Save.

Note: If you only have the Shop floor control role in Exact Synergy Enterprise, you will not be able to enable or disable modules at Preferences.

How do I view the Entry tab?

1. Log in to your Exact Synergy Enterprise. If you have been assigned the Shop floor control role in Exact Synergy Enterprise, the Shop floor control page will then be displayed. If you do not have the Shop floor control role, skip to step 3.
2. On the Shop floor control page, clear the SFC Interface check box, and then click Login to see your database in the Exact Synergy Enterprise user interface.
3. Click Modules.
4. Click Production, and then click the Entry tab.

Note: The hyperlinks in this section can be accessed only if you have the Administrator or Shop floor control role.

Job operation overview

Click this to view an overview of operations. The information displayed are taken from the Exact Globe Next database that is connected to Exact Synergy Enterprise. For more information, see Viewing overview of operations in Exact Synergy Enterprise user interface.

Production issue overview

Click this to view an overview of the materials to be issued for the operations. For more information, see Overview of materials to be issued in Exact Synergy Enterprise user interface.

How do I view the Reports tab?

1. Log in to your Exact Synergy Enterprise. If you have been assigned the Shop floor control role in Exact Synergy Enterprise, the Shop floor control page will then be displayed. If you do not have the Shop floor control role, skip to step 3.
2. On the Shop floor control page, clear the SFC Interface check box, and then click Login to see your database in the Exact Synergy Enterprise user interface.
3. Click Modules.
4. Click Production, and then click the Reports tab.

Note: The hyperlinks in this section can be accessed if you have the Administrator, Shop floor control, or Professional role.

Hour entries error log

Click this to view the error log for errors that occurred on the Time registration page of the SFC system. For more information, see Viewing hour entries error log.

Production entries error log

Click this to view the error log for errors occurred in the SFC system, which include the following transaction types: Status update, Issue materials, Quantity complete, and Production receipt. For more information, see Viewing production entries error log.
