Introduction

In this page you can configure the date fields of a request type specifically End date, End date (Realized), Start date, and Start date (Realized). Apart from recording dates, the date fields can be used together with the time and duration fields. Description

The following describes only the settings specific for the End date, End date (Realized), Start date, and Start date (Realized) fields. For more information on the menu path, roles and rights, buttons, and other settings available in most request fields, see Customizing Request Type Fields (Main Document).

• Search keyword: Type "date" in the Name box and click Refresh. Click the End date, End date (Realized), Start date, or Start date (Realized) field to add and configure the field in the request type.
• Automatic label: In a generated request form, the automatic label is "End date (Planned)" for End date, "End date (Realized)" for End date (Realized), "Start date (Planned)" for Start date, and "Start date (Realized)" for Start date (Realized).

Default section

Default

Select the default date to be entered in the date field of a newly-created request:

• None - Select this to leave the date field blank.
• Current - Select this to automatically enter the current date in the field.
• Other - Select this, and then type or select a date to set it as the default date.

A user can change the default date unless you have disabled the editing of this field for a relevant status of the request in the Edit section.
