Introduction
On this page, you can create, modify, or delete job activities.
Roles and rights
To create or modify job activities, function right 94 — Maintain job groups is required. By default, users with the HR role have this function right.

What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update 259 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I create job activities?
- On the HRM: Job activities page, click New.
- On the HRM: Job activity - New page, type the code of the job activity at Code.
- At Description, type the description of the job activity.
- Click Save. If you want to save this entry and create another job activity immediately, click Save + New instead.
Keep in mind: All fields with the "!" icon are mandatory.
How do I modify job activities?
- On the HRM: Job activities page, click the hyperlinked job activity under the Job activity column.
- Click Edit, and then make the necessary changes.
- Click Save.
How do I delete job activities?
- On the HRM: Job activities page, click the hyperlinked job activity under the Job activity column.
- Click Edit.
- Click Delete. A message "Are you sure that you want to delete this record?" is displayed.
- Click OK.
Keep in mind: You cannot delete a job activity that is currently linked to a person.
Buttons
Close
Click this to exit and return to the listing of job activities. For more information, see Overview of job activities.
Save
Click this to save entry for the job activity.
Save + New
Click this to save the entry for the job activity and create another job activity.
Note: This is available only when you are creating a job activity.
Delete
Click this to delete the job activity.
Note: This is available only when you are modifying a job activity.
Fields
General section
Code
Type the code of the job activity. Once the entry is saved, the code cannot be modified.
Description
Type the description of the job activity.
Job group
Type or select a job group code to be linked to the job activity.
Document
Select a document to be linked to this job activity.
Remark section
Type additional remarks of the job activity.
Used in: Job titles - Competency section
Note: This section is available only if you have selected Simple at Method at Modules ? HRM ? Setup ? General ? Settings, under the Competency section. For more information, see Defining HRM general settings.
Competency
You can define one competency or more for the job activity by selecting the check boxes next to the respective competencies. The selected competencies will be used to measure the performance of the people linked to the job activity.
Note: This competencies displayed under this column can be modified at Modules ? HRM ? Setup ? Competency management ? Competency. For more information, see Modifying competencies.
Used in: Job titles - Job titles section
Note: This section is available only when you are modifying a job activity.
Job titles
This column displays the job titles that are currently linked to the job activity. You can click the hyperlink to view the corresponding job title. For more information, see Viewing job titles.
Add
Click this to link new job titles to the job activity. For more information, see Creating and modifying job titles.
