Creating and maintaining exchange rates

Introduction

You can create and maintain exchange rates of multiple active currencies in Exact Globe Next. This is important if your business transactions involve different currencies and these currencies have fluctuating exchange rates.

Note: Currencies can be activated at System ➔ General ➔ Countries. For more information, see Creating and maintaining currencies.

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create and maintain exchange rates?

1. In the main screen, click Maintain. The Exchange rates screen will be displayed.
2. To create exchange rates, click New.
3. Type or select the exchange rate date at Exchange rate date and click Select. A list of currencies and the corresponding details will be displayed under the Exchange rate tab and Euro Conversion rate tab, if any.
4. Type the required exchange rates in the Exchange rate column and click Save.
5. To edit the exchange rates, repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. Click Close and then click Refresh in the main screen to view the updated records.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.

How do I delete exchange rates?

1. In the main screen, click Maintain. The Exchange rates screen will be displayed.
2. Type or select the exchange rate date at Exchange rate date and click Select. A list of currencies and the corresponding details will be displayed under the Exchange rate tab and Euro Conversion rate tab, if any.
3. Select the required exchange rate in the Exchange rate column and click Delete. The Delete exchange rates screen will be displayed.
4. Type or select the currency code at Currency code and define the start and end dates at the respective fields.
5. Click Delete. The message “Delete the data selected?” will be displayed.
6. Click Yes to confirm deletion or No to cancel.

Keep in mind: All fields with the “!” icon are mandatory.
