This page allows you to stay connected to people within your groups. You can share updates, attachments, locations, and create polls.
For public groups, everyone can view and participate in the discussions on the group timeline page. For private groups, only the group members can view and participate in the discussions on the group timeline page.
The following are the types of the group memberships, which determine what you can do on the group timeline page:

Users with the Social collaboration administrator user role can perform all actions on all groups regardless of the type of their membership. These users automatically have the same privileges as owners for all groups in their environment.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 264 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Click this hyperlink to go to the Timeline page. For more information, see Viewing timeline.
This section allows you to share a post with everyone in the group as well as with people whom you have defined at the Share with field.
Click this on your profile picture to post using the group alias (Post as group) or as yourself (Posting as myself) on the group timeline page.
Type your message here. This field is mandatory. You can insert emojis in your post by clicking the icon.
Click this to select an entity to be shared with the group members, such as a specific document, account, person, and request. Select the entity via the drop-down list, and then select the specific content in the next box.
Click this to attach a file from your computer or cloud storage to be shared with the group members.
Click this to share a poll with the group members. For more information, see How-to: Using polls in timeline.
Type the name of the people or groups with whom you want to share the post at this field. This field is mandatory. By default, this post will be shared to all members in this group.
Click this to cancel the sharing of the post.
Click this to share the post.

Click this to hide the comment section at the bottom of the post. Click this again to display this section.
Click this to like the post. You can click this again to remove the like from the post.
Click this to share the post with other people or groups. A pop-up page will be displayed for you to select the people or groups, and to add an additional message, if needed.
Click this to display the available options:
Click this to add a reply to the person who commented on the post. Once you have typed something in the text box, the icon will be available next to the icon. Click to add your reply to the comment. To add a comment to the post instead of to the person who commented on the post, click the icon.
Click this to like the comment. Once you have liked the comment, the font will be in bold. The number of people who have liked the comment will be displayed next to the icon. Click again to remove the like from the comment.
Click this, and then click Delete comment to remove your comment from the post. This is available only if you are the person who added the comment.
Type your comment to be added to the post. Once you have typed something in the text box, the icon will be available next to the icon. Click to add your comment.
Click this to display the Synergy Link and Attachments buttons. Similarly to a post, you can also select entities or upload files to be shared with the group members via these buttons.
Click this to insert emojis to the comment.
Click the My groups hyperlink to display a list of groups of which you are a member, in a pop-up page. The details of the group, to which the group feeds belong, are displayed below the My groups hyperlink.
When the group description is too long, the Show more hyperlink will be available. Click this to expand this section and view the complete group description. You can then click the Show less hyperlink to contract this section back to its original size.
Hover the mouse over the image to display a brief description of the person, division, or cost center. You can also click the respective image to view more information of the person, division, or cost center.
Note: By default, the name of this section is Members (x), with “x” being the number of members in the group. When the Everyone entity has been added as a member of the group, the section will be renamed Members (Everyone).
Type the text in the box provided, and then click to display the feeds and comments that contain the defined text. The text that matches the defined text will be in bold.
This section displays photos that have been shared to the group via posts and comments. Click on a photo to view the thumbnail of the photo. You can view the thumbnails of other photos by using the arrows, or download the photos by clicking . You can only view the thumbnails of up to 15 photos. When there are more than 15 photos available, the View all hyperlink will be displayed. Click View all to display all the photos upfront.
You can embed group feeds in your group timeline to various locations, such as your workspaces and websites. Click this to display the embed code, which you can copy and paste to the desired location.
Click this to display your personal timeline.
