This page allows you to create, modify, and delete warehouse locations.
To create, modify and delete items, function right 463 – Maintain warehouse locations is required. Users with the Administrator and Item management roles have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Click this to save the warehouse location information.
Click this to save the warehouse location information and create a new warehouse location.
Click this to delete the warehouse location. You will see a message "Confirm: Delete?" Click OK to delete or Cancel to cancel the deletion.
Note: This button is only available if you are modifying an existing warehouse location.
Click this to exit.
Type or select the warehouse code where the new warehouse location will be located. This information is mandatory.
Note: If you are modifying the warehouse location, this information cannot be edited.
Type a unique alphanumerical code to identify the warehouse location you want to create. You can type up to 10 characters. This information is mandatory.
Type a description for the warehouse location.
Select this check box to block the warehouse location from receiving items.
Select this check box to block the warehouse location from issuing items.
Select an attribute to describe the main function of the warehouse location. The attributes available are:
Select a location type to define the storage methods used by the warehouse location. The location types available are:
If you select Fixed item location at Type, you will see the following fields.
Type or select the item that is allowed to be stored by this fixed item location.
Type a minimum quantity that needs to be maintained for the stock at all times. If the quantity falls below this level, the stock is considered insufficient and needs to be replenished.
Type a maximum quantity that can be stored in this location. During replenishment, the quantity requested needs to fulfill the maximum stock.
