In this screen, you can define advanced criteria to view only relevant information in the overview of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Depending on the option selected at Content in the Item management: Planning screen, some of the fields and/or sections below may not be available.
Filter section
Assortments
Click this to select one assortment or more to obtain an overview linked to items under the corresponding assortment(s). Once any assortment is selected, a green check mark is displayed in the button next to Assortments.
Note: If you have selected Item, the Supplier field will be displayed in the Advanced mode instead of the Item field, and vice versa.
Item
Type or select an item code or a range of item codes to obtain an overview linked to the corresponding item(s). Alternatively, select the All check box to obtain an overview linked to all items. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting an item code in the first box only will display an overview linked to items with codes that are equal to and greater than the selected item code.
- Typing or selecting an item code in the second box only will display an overview linked to items with codes that are equal to and lesser than the selected item code.
Planner
Type or select an employee ID to obtain an overview linked to items with the corresponding item planner. Alternatively, select the All check box to obtain an overview linked to items with any item planner. By default, the All check box is selected.
Sales
Select one of the following options to obtain an overview linked to items with sales attribute generated from the corresponding requisition type(s):
- Sales — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items requested through sales orders.
- Internal — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items requested through internal use requests.
- All — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items requested through internal use requests and sales orders. By default, this is selected.
Make/ Buy
Select one of the following to obtain an overview linked to items with the corresponding attribute(s):
- Buy — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with purchase attribute only. By default, this will be selected if you have accessed the Item management: Planning screen via Purchase ? To be processed ? Back to back order.
- Make — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with make attribute only. By default, this will be selected if you have accessed the Item management: Planning screen via Purchase ? To be processed ? Back to back order.
- All — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with both purchase and make attributes.
Stock
Select one of the following to obtain an overview linked to items with the corresponding attribute(s):
- Order controlled — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with order-controlled attribute.
- Stock controlled — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with stock-controlled attribute.
- All — Select this to obtain an overview linked to items with both order-controlled and stock-controlled attributes. By default, this is selected.
Person
Type or select an ID or a range of IDs to obtain an overview of transactions created by the selected people. Alternatively, select the All check box to obtain an overview linked to everyone who have created transactions. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting an ID in the first box only will display an overview of transactions created by the people with IDs that are equal to and greater than the selected ID.
- Typing or selecting an ID in the second box only will display an overview of transactions created by the people with IDs that are equal to and lesser than the selected ID.
Type
Select Quotations, Sales orders, or Internal use to display an overview linked to items generated from the corresponding requisition type. Once you have selected Quotations, Sales orders, or Internal use, Order will be enabled. Alternatively, select All to display an overview linked to items generated from all requisition types. By default, All is selected.
Project
Type or select a project code or range of project codes to display an overview linked to the corresponding project(s). Alternatively, select the All check box to display an overview linked to any project. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting a project code in the first box only will display an overview linked to projects with codes that are equal to and greater than the selected project code.
- Typing or selecting a project code in the second box only will display an overview linked to projects with codes that are equal to and lesser than the selected project code.
Order
Type or select an order/request number or a range of orders/request numbers to obtain an overview linked to the items generated from the selected order(s)/request(s). Alternatively, select the All check box to display an overview linked to the items generated from any order/request. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting an order/request number in the first box only will display an overview linked to items generated from orders/requests with numbers that are equal to and greater than the selected order/request number.
- Typing or selecting an order/request number in the second box only will display an overview linked to items generated from orders/requests with numbers that are equal to and lesser than the selected order/request number.
Supplier
Type or select a supplier/creditor number or a range of suppliers/creditor numbers to obtain an overview linked to the items supplied by the selected supplier(s)/creditor(s). Alternatively, select the All check box to display an overview linked to items supplied by any supplier/creditor. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting a supplier/creditor number in the first box only will display an overview linked to items supplied by suppliers/creditors with creditor numbers that are equal to and greater than the selected creditor number.
- Typing or selecting a supplier/creditor number in the second box only will display an overview linked to items supplied by suppliers/creditors with creditor numbers that are equal to and lesser than the selected creditor number.
Customer
Type or select a customer/debtor number or a range of customers/debtor numbers to obtain an overview linked to the items requested by the customer(s)/debtor(s). Alternatively, select the All check box to display an overview linked to items requested by any customer/debtor. By default, the All check box is selected.
Note:
- Typing or selecting a customer/debtor number in the first box only will display an overview linked to items requested by customers/debtors with debtor numbers that are equal to and greater than the selected debtor number.
- Typing or selecting a customer/debtor number in the second box only will display an overview linked to items requested by customers/debtors with debtor numbers that are equal to and lesser than the selected debtor number.
Type
Select the Standard, Machine hour, Labor hour, and/or Bulk issue check boxes to obtain an overview linked to items of the corresponding types.
Transactions section
Note: This section is available only if you have selected Orders/ Requirements, Available, or Purchase at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
Quotation, Sales orders, Internal use, Production orders, Purchase orders
Select the respective check boxes under the Not authorized and/or Authorized columns to obtain an overview linked to the unauthorized and/or authorized items respectively, generated from the corresponding orders or requests.
Exclude Expired
Select this check box to exclude unauthorized or authorized items generated from expired quotations, from the overview.
Note: This is enabled only if you have selected the Quotations check box under the Not authorized and/or Authorized column(s).
Released
Select this check box to include unauthorized or authorized items generated from released production orders, from the overview.
Confirmed
Select this check box to take into account purchase orders that have been authorized and confirmed into the overview.
Selection code
Click to select one selection code or more to obtain an overview linked to the corresponding orders or requests using the corresponding selection code(s).
Note:
- The corresponding buttons are enabled only if you have selected the Quotations, Sales orders, Internal use, Production orders, or Purchase orders check boxes under the Not authorized and/or Authorized column(s).
- Selection codes are only available after they have been created at System ? Logistics ? Selection codes. For more information see, Creating and maintaining selection codes.
Forecast
Select this check box to obtain an overview linked to a budget scenario. Once selected, Budget scenario will be enabled.
Note: This is enabled only if you have selected Orders/ Requirements or Available at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
Budget scenario
Type or select a budget scenario to obtain an overview linked to this budget scenario.
Note: This is enabled only if you have selected the Forecast check box.
MRP engine
Select this check box to obtain production or purchase advice for items based on the MRP engine scenario selected. Once selected, MRP engine: Scenario will be enabled.
Note: This is enabled only if you have selected Available at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
MRP engine: Scenario
Type or select an MRP scenario to obtain the production or purchase advice for items linked to this scenario.
Note: This is enabled only if you have selected the MRP engine check box.
View section
Note: This section is available only if you have selected Orders/ Requirements or Available at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
The colors represent the following if you have selected Orders/ Requirements:
- Red (View: Purchase advice) — This option will display an overview linked to items that are not purchased or reserved, or partially purchased.
- Yellow (View: Fully allocated) — This option will display an overview linked to items that are fully purchased or reserved, but not received or partially received.
- Green (View: Fulfillment proposal) — This option will display an overview linked to items that are fully received or reserved, but not delivered or partially delivered.
- Blue (View: Completed) — This option will display an overview linked to items that are fully fulfilled. No additional action is necessary.
The colors represent the following if you have selected Available:
- Red (View: Negative stock) — This option will display an overview linked to items with stock lower than zero.
- Yellow (View: Below minimum) — This option will display an overview linked to items with stock less than what is minimally required, but not less than zero.
- Green (View: Above minimum) — This option will display an overview linked to items with stock between the purchase order level and maximum stock level.
- Blue (View: Maximum exceeded) — This option will display an overview linked to items with stock that exceeds the maximum stock level.
Show section
Fulfillment date<Date
If you select this check box and Orders/ Requirements has been selected at Content in the Item management: Planning screen prior to this, a column before the columns for days, weeks, months, or years will be displayed in the Item management: Planning screen. The total quantity or amount of orders with a delivery date before the date(s) selected at From and to in the Item management: Planning screen will be displayed under this column.
If you select this check box and Available has been selected at Content in the Item management: Planning screen prior to this, the opening balance displayed on the first day of the selected period in the Item management: Planning screen will include past orders.
Fulfillment date>Date
Select this check box to display a column after the columns for days, weeks, months, or years. The total quantity or amount of orders with a delivery date after the date(s) selected at From and to in the Item management: Planning screen will be displayed under this column.
Requirements only
Select this check box to display items generated from requirements such as open quotations, sales orders, production orders, purchase orders, or internal use requests.
Unit
Select Sales unit or Purchase unit to display the overview in the corresponding unit.
Column: Width
Select Standard or 150% to display the columns in the overview with the default standard width or 150% wider than the standard width, respectively.
Include: Completed<Date
Select this check box to obtain an overview that includes completed production orders and/or sales orders before the start date.
Note: This is available only if you have selected Orders/ Requirements at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
Stock: Unallocated
Select this check box to display the Free stock column in the overview. The quantity or amount of available or unallocated stock will be displayed under this column.
Note: This is available only if you have selected Orders/ Requirements at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
Stock
Select this check box to display the Stock column in the overview. The quantity or amount of available or unallocated stock will be displayed under this column.
Note: This is available only if you have selected Available at Content in the Item management: Planning screen.
Discontinued: Items
Select this check box to obtain an overview that includes items which are effectively discontinued in the overview.
Time of delivery
Select this check box to display the Time of delivery column in the overview. This column displays the delivery time of the main supplier.
PO: Unallocated
Select this check box to display the PO: Unallocated column in the overview. The quantity or amount of purchased items which have not been assigned to any orders or requirements will be displayed under this column.
PrO: Unallocated
Select this check box to display the PrO: Unallocated column in the overview. The quantity or amount of produced items which have not been assigned to any orders or requirements will be displayed under this column.
Precision
Type a number to display the quantity or amount of purchased items in the overview in the corresponding decimal places.
