E-Excel Add-In: Updating to the latest data
Introduction
To have the most recent data available when using Excel Add-In, you can regularly update your Excel sheet. You can do this in Excel via the menu option Exact Globe Next ➔ Update, or by clicking Update in the toolbar.
Description
If you go to the menu path Microsoft Excel ➔ Exact Globe Next ➔ Search, you will see a list of things that can be searched in a submenu, such as general ledgers, categories, employees, creditors, et cetera.
Updating to the latest data
- Run Microsoft Excel, and then go to Exact Globe Next ➔ Update.
- The Excel sheet will then be updated with the latest information based on the database.
The information that will be displayed will be based on the following scenarios:

The relevant company has already been opened. If the relevant company is already open, the data in the Excel sheet is automatically updated with the correct and most recent data from the database.
- The relevant administration has not yet been opened but another company has been opened. If the company (from which the data was retrieved when the Excel sheet was saved) is closed, you will first get a screen in which you can select a company. The relevant company is already selected in this screen. You can confirm this by clicking OK to refresh the data, or you can also select a different company. The latter makes it possible to use one Excel sheet for all companies.
Note: If you have generated an overview for one company and you want to see the data for another company, close the company and update the Excel sheet (select Exact Globe Next ➔ Update). This way, you can open another company and the data will be updated with the data from this company.
