This screen allows you to define the default value of the total absence entitlement for the people for the service year basis. You can also define a specific number of absence entitlements for a person.
The information in this document is based on product update 404.
Corporate tab
This screen will differ depending on the selection at Basis under the Entitlement section in the Absence types screen. For more information, see Creating and maintaining absence types.
The following fields will be displayed if Service year is selected at Basis in the Absence types screen. Only the first row will be enabled except for the Statutory and Non-statutory columns. The remaining rows will contain the same data as the first row.
Add
Click this to add a row in the overview.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected absence entitlement.
Copy
Click this to copy the selected absence entitlement to another absence type.
Years
Type the number of years for the absence entitlement. This is mandatory.
Days
Type the number of days for the absence entitlement. This is mandatory.
Note:
- This field is displayed only if the Duration in days check box in the Absence types screen is selected. For more information, see Creating and maintaining absence types.
- This field is enabled only if the Apply expiry date check box is not selected.
Hours
Type the total number of hours for the absence entitlement. This is mandatory.

- This field is enabled only if the Apply expiry date check box is not selected.
Apply expiry date
Select this check box to apply an expiry date for the absence entitlement. If this check box is selected, the Statutory entitlement and Non-Statutory entitlement sections will be displayed.
Effective period
Type the period the absence entitlement will start. By default, the period displayed will be based on the Period-date calendar defined under the Period and year control section at System à General à Settings à General settings. This is mandatory.
Note: This field is available only if the Apply expiry date check box is selected.
Effective year
Type the year the absence entitlement will start. By default, the year displayed will be based on the Period-date calendar defined under the Period and year control section at System à General à Settings à General settings. This is mandatory.

Statutory(Days)
Type the number of days for the statutory entitlement. By default, 0.00 is displayed. This is mandatory.

Statutory(Hours)
Type the number of hours for the statutory entitlement. By default, 0.00 is displayed. This is mandatory.

Expiry period
Type the period the statutory entitlement will expire. By default, 6 is displayed. This is mandatory.

Unit
Select week(s), month(s), or year(s) the statutory entitlement will expire. By default, month(s) is selected. This is mandatory.

Non-statutory(Days)
Type the number of days for the non-statutory entitlement. By default, the number of days defined at Days will be displayed. This is mandatory.

Non-statutory(Hours)
Type the number of hours for the non-statutory entitlement. By default, the number of hours defined at Hours will be displayed. This is mandatory.

This is not enabled for the person.

Add
