This screen allows you to modify the descriptions of the competences. However, the number of competences cannot be changed. This function is available only if you have set the competency method to Simple in the HRM general settings. For more information, see Defining HRM General Settings.
Go to HRM/Setup/Competency management/Competency, and then click Edit.
To modify competences, function right 346 – Maintain Resource competencies is required. By default, users with the HR and HR assistant roles have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Type a new description for each competence. You can modify up to 13 competences.
