Product Updates 420, 419, and 418: National Tax and Custom Administration (NAV) online invoicing system version 2.0 introduced (Hungarian legislation)
The Nemzeti Adó-és Vámhivatal (NAV) or National Tax and
Custom Administration online invoicing system has been improved whereby version
2.0 has been made available to support technical improvements and interface
changes, offer better data security measures and an updated XML schema, among
others.
The major improvements in the latest version of the NAV online invoicing system are as follows:
Technical improvement in the system
The improvement, which is delivered through this product
update, serves to optimize and simplify the integration of Exact Globe Next
with the NAV online invoicing system.
Interface of the invoice submissions and management of
the NAV responses to the submissions
Unlike version 1.1, version 2.0 segregates existing data
requests and introduces new data requests. Moreover, version 2.0 addresses more
security measures, such as the security of the message itself, as well as data
content validation.
XML schema of E-invoice
The most significant change in this update includes the
introduction of the explicit reference of all amounts in the HUF currency. Some
businesses in Hungary invoice their customers in the EUR or US currency. Due to
this, the risk of invoice rejection increases with data inconsistencies. Thus,
the improvement is aimed to reduce the risk of invoice rejection.
Credentials for NAV
The existing technical users have rights to the newly
implemented version 2.0. Therefore, it is not required to obtain new
credentials for the technical users to access the NAV online invoicing system.
Due to the enhancement, the previous version 1.1 has been made obsolete. It is mandatory to change to version 2.0 by April 1, 2020 at 00:00. Effective onwards, the data supply under the previous version 1.1 will no longer be possible. For more information, see https://onlineszamla-test.nav.gov.hu/home.
This product update is not applicable to Exact Compact, SDK,
and building blocks.
The enhancements that have been made in Exact Globe Next are
as follows:
NAV online invoicing system overview screen
A new button Show XML has been added in the NAV
online invoicing system overview screen (accessible via Invoice ➔ Reports ➔ NAV online
invoicing system).
By clicking the Show XML button, you will be
able to view the XML output.

XML mapping
The XML structure has been changed as follows:
New <InvoiceData> root structure
- The namespace has changed the versioning from “1.0” to “2.0”.
- The root element <Invoice> has been changed to <InvoiceData>.
- The element <invoiceExchange> has been changed to <invoiceMain>
with two possible children elements <invoice> (supported) and <batchInvoice>
(not supported).
- The elements <invoiceNumber> and <invoiceIssueDate>
have been moved from <invoiceHead/invoiceData>, and are now the
children of the new root element <InvoiceData>.
Modified <invoiceReference> structure
The changes are as follows:
- The <modificationIssueDate>, <modificationTimestamp>,
and <lastModificationReference> tags have been removed.
- The <modificationIndex> tag has been added. The tag
will reflect the last number sequence of the invoices that the original invoice
has been modified with.
New <invoiceDetail> structure
The changes are as follows:
- The tag <invoiceData> has been changed to <invoiceDetail>.
- The tags <invoiceNumber> and <invoiceIssueDate>
have been removed.
- Two optional tags, <periodicalSettlement> and <smallBusinessIndicator>,
have been added with the default value “false”.
- All the default values for the <exchangeRate> tags
in the whole XML have been changed from “1.00” to “1”. With this change, the <exchangeRate>
tags values can be of integer values.
Modified <line> structure
The changes are as follows:
- The default value for tag <lineExpressionIndicator>
has been changed from none to “false”. The logic for the tag will remain the
same.
- The <lineNatureIndicator> tag has been added and
will have possible values of “PRODUCT”, “SERVICE”, and “OTHER”.
- The <unitPriceHUF> tag has been added to reflect the
amount in the HUF currency from the tag <unitPrice>.
Modified <lineAmountsNormal> structure
The changes are as follows:
- Each of the amounts field under the tag <line/lineAmountsNormal>
now belongs to its own section.
- The tag <lineNetAmount> has been moved under <lineNetAmountData>.
- An additional tag <lineNetAmountHUF> has been added
to the new section <lineNetAmountData>.
- The tags <lineVatAmount> and <lineVatAmountHUF>
have been moved under <lineVatData>.
- The tag <lineGrossAmountNormal> will now be under <lineGrossAmountData>.
- An additional tag <lineGrossAmountNormalHUF> has
been added to the new section <lineGrossAmountData>.
Modified <invoiceSummary> structure
The changes are as follows:
- An additional tag <invoiceNetAmountHUF> has been
added to <summaryNormal> to reflect the HUF amount for the tag <invoiceNetAmount>.
- The <invoiceGrossAmount> has been moved under <summaryGrossData>.
- An additional tag <invoiceGrossAmountHUF> has been added
to the new section <summaryGrossData>.
Modified <summaryByVatRate> structure
The changes are as follows:
- The tag <vatRateNetAmount> has been moved under <vatRateNetData>.
- An additional tag <vatRateNetAmountHUF> has been added
to the new section <vatRateNetData>.
- The tags <vatRateVatAmount> and <vatRateVatAmountHUF>
has been moved under <vatRateVatData>.
- The tag <vatRateGrossAmount> has been moved under <vatRateGrossData>.
- An additional tag <vatRateGrossAmountHUF> has been added
to the new section <vatRateGrossData>.
