Introduction
This page allows you to customize the columns to be displayed on or hidden from the Operation overview page in the Shop Floor Control (SFC) system. In addition, you can also control the availability of process flows, and the Kanban, Extra materials, Stop hours, and By-products buttons for the operators. Any selections done for an operation will be applicable only to the respective operation.
Roles and rights
To access this page, you must be the administrator of the SFC system. In addition to that, a few requirements need to be met. For more information, see the Roles and rights section in Logging in to Shop Floor Control via Exact Synergy Enterprise.

How do I customize the Operation overview page?
- On the Shop floor control page, select the SFC Interface check box.
- At Operation, select an operation.
- Click Login. Once you have logged in, the production orders with the steps that are executed on the selected operation will be displayed.
- Click Customize.
- Make the necessary selections, and then click Save.
Buttons
Fields
Available section
This section displays the columns that are currently not displayed on the Operation overview page. To display the columns, click the columns, and then click .
Selected section
This section displays the columns that are currently displayed on the Operation overview page. To hide the columns from being visible to the operators, click the columns, and then click . You can also rearrange the order of the columns displayed on the page by clicking the column, and then clicking Up or Down.
Page size
This displays the number of records to be displayed on the Operation overview page. By default, “50” is defined. If you have defined “0”, and then saved the selection, the number of records to be displayed will be reverted back to “50”.
Button section
Show
- Kanban — Select this check box to display the Kanban button on the Operation overview page, allowing the operators to access the Kanban order features. By default, this check box is selected for all operations.
- Extra materials — Select this check box to display the Extra materials button on the Issue materials page, allowing operators to issue extra materials for the operations. By default, this check box is selected for all operations.
- Stop hours — Select this check box to display the Stop hours button on the Quantity complete or Production receipt page, allowing operators to stop the time entries of the operation step that they have started.
- By-products — Select this check box to display the By-products button on the Quantity complete or Production receipt page, allowing operators to register by-products items. By default, this check box is selected.
Process flow section
Operation details, Time registration, and Issue materials
Select one check box or more to make the respective process flows available for the operation. Otherwise, the process flows will not be available for the operation. By default, the check boxes are selected for all operations.
Note: If the Operation details check box is not selected, the Operation details process flow will be skipped. Thus, when you click a line on the Operation overview page, the Time registration, Issue materials, Quantity complete, or Production receipt page will be displayed instead, depending on the situation. Also, the statuses of the production order and operation will be automatically changed to Printed and Started respectively.
Start hours automatically
Select this check box to automate the time registration process, relieving operators from starting labor and machine hours manually. When this check box is selected, the following actions will occur:
- The Time registration page will be skipped.
- Labor hours linked to the person with ID "0", "-3", or the person who is logged in to SFC, and all machine hours will automatically be started when:
o the operator clicks a line on the Operation overview page (the Operation details and Time registration check boxes are not selected), or
o the operator clicks Start on the Operation details page (the Operation details check box is selected, but the Time registration check box is not selected).
Note: This check box is not enabled if the Time registration check box is selected.
Mandatory: Stop hours
Select this check box to make it mandatory for all running labor and machine hours on the Time registration page to be stopped before the operators can move to the next process. If the labor and/or machine hours are running, the Next button will not be enabled.
Note: This check box is enabled only if the Time registration check box is selected.
Use planning person
Select this to allow multiple operators to start the same labor hour item at the same time and for more than once on the Time registration page. When this check box is selected, the Person column will be displayed on the Time registration page to show the operators who are entering hours on the same operation.
Prefill planned quantities
Select this check box to prefill the planned quantity of items to be issued on the Issue materials page (in the Quantity column), and the planned quantity of make items on the Quantity complete or Production receipt page (at the Quantity field).
Display section
Show
Select Production order number, Description, or Production order number + Description to display the production orders in SFC based on its order number, description, or both. By default, Production order number is selected.
