The overview of stock positions contains information on the quantities of items in a warehouse within a specific period of time, including information about the quantity to be delivered, quantity to be received, available stock, and current free stock.
The information in this document is based on product update 404 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
You can filter the columns that you want to display by defining one or more criteria and clicking Refresh. The overview will be generated based on the defined criteria.
This column displays the warehouse with the respective stock information.
This column displays the item code as defined in the item maintenance at Inventory à Items à Maintain.
This column displays the item description of the corresponding item code as defined in the item maintenance at Inventory à Items à Maintain.
This column displays the item group which the item code is linked to as defined in the item maintenance Inventory à Items à Maintain.
This column displays the description for the corresponding item group.
This column displays the status of the item as defined in the item maintenance at Inventory à Items à Maintain.
This column displays the unit that the quantities are displayed. The unit is defined in the item maintenance. The sales price is defined at Sls. unit, Price under the Basics tab and the purchase price is defined in the supplier details under the Purchase/Sales tab. This column displays the price of the item as defined at Sls. unit, Price under the Basics tab in the item maintenance at Inventory à Items à Maintain.
This column displays the minimum stock quantity that will trigger a purchase order or production order in the event the stock falls below the total stock on hand plus the stock on order. For more information on minimum PO level, see Maintaining items for a specific warehouse.
This column displays the maximum stock quantity that is required to be purchased or produced.
This column displays the main supplier code of the item. The supplier information is defined in the Suppliers section under the Purchase/Sales tab in the item maintenance.
This column displays the time of delivery of the main supplier.
This column displays the stock quantity. The stock quantity is the quantity of the physical stock available in the warehouse. The stock quantity for an item is calculated from the sum of all the incoming transaction quantities (purchase order receipts, return receipts, positive stock counts, production order receipts) less the sum of all outgoing transaction quantities (sales order fulfillment, return fulfillment, negative stock counts, production order issuance) for the item.
This column displays the quantity to be delivered to the customers. The quantity to be delivered is the total quantity required to fulfill open sales orders that are authorized.
This column displays the available quantity. The available quantity is the stock quantity plus the quantity to be received less the quantity to be delivered. If the value is negative, this indicates a shortage quantity and that there are orders requesting for the item to be fulfilled.
Click Totals only to display the items and the total available stock. This button will be renamed to Stock positions. To view the item stock position details (current available stock, quantity to be received, quantity to be delivered), click Stock positions.
Click this to view the list of requirements and orders or requests linked to the corresponding item.
Note: This is enabled only if a cell is selected.
Click this to display a list of purchase orders for the item. You can then select a purchase order and click PO to view and edit the purchase order details. You can only edit a purchase order before the purchase order is received. For more information, see Creating and maintaining purchase orders.

Click this to display a list of sales orders for the item. You can then select a sales order and click Zoom to view and edit the sales orders details. You cannot edit a sales order if the sales order is completed. For more information, see Creating and maintaining sales orders.
Click this to generate the calculation of the current stock value. For more information on stock valuation, see Processing stock valuations.
Click this to allocate stock to fulfill orders such as sales orders, internal use requests, production orders, and service orders. For more information see Allocating requests to stock.
Click this to view the transaction card of the corresponding item. For more information, see Viewing item transactions.
Click this to view or maintain the corresponding item. For more information see, Creating and maintaining items.
Click this to export the overview to Microsoft Excel.
Click this to exit.
