Introduction
On this page, you can create, modify, or delete job title.
Roles and rights
To create or modify job titles, function right 96 — Maintain job titles is required. By default, users with the HR role have this function right.

What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update 259 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I create job titles?
- On the HRM: Job titles page, click New.
- On the HRM: Job title - New page, type the code of the job title at Code.
- At Description, type the description of the job title.
- Click Save. If you want to save this entry and create another job title immediately, click Save + New instead.
Keep in mind: All fields with the "!" icon are mandatory.
How do I modify the job titles?
- On the HRM: Job titles page, define the criteria, and then click Show.
- Click the hyperlinked job title under the Job title column.
- Click Edit, and then make the necessary changes.
- Click Save.
How do I delete the job titles?
- On the HRM: Job titles page, define the criteria, and then click Show
- Click the hyperlinked job title under the Job title column.
- Click Edit.
- Click Delete. A message "Are you sure that you want to delete this record?" is displayed.
- Click OK.
Keep in mind: You cannot delete a job title that is currently linked to a person.
Buttons
Close
Click this to exit and return to the listing of job titles. For more information, see Overview of job titles.
Save
Click this to save entry for the job title.
Save + New
Click this to save the entry for the job title and create another job title.
Note: This is available only when you are creating a job title.
Delete
Click this to delete the job title.
Note: This is available only when you are modifying a job title.
Fields
General section
Code
Type the code of the job title. Once the entry is saved, the code cannot be modified.
Description
Type the description of the job title.
Job group
Type or select a job group code to be linked to the job title.
Activity
Type or select a job activity code to be linked to the job title.
Job level
Type the job level or range of job levels for the job title. The value in the second box must be equal to or greater than the value in the first box. If the value in the first box is any number other than “0”, the information in the second box becomes mandatory. A job level can be used as a representation of the hierarchy level in an organization or in the financial component as a basis for salary.
Security level
Type the security level of the job title. When a person is assigned to this particular job title, the security level of the person will be filled in with the value defined in this field.
Policy
Select a document to be linked to this job title.
Remark section
Type additional remarks for the job title.
