PU 423|422|421|420 (Globe) and 500|422|421|420 (Globe+): Remove and replace files to prevent log4j vulnerability (Spanish legislation)

In this product update, we are taking preventive measures to safeguard the activities and application in your system due to the log4j vulnerability.

As the log4j vulnerability affects some files related to functionalities for the Spanish legislation, we advise you to remove and replace them at your earliest convenience.

e-Factura

If you are using e-Factura (the XML format file used in electronic data exchange applicable to Spanish debtors), some features may be impacted. These features, accessible through Invoice > Entries > Invoices, are as follows:

• Importing certificates to sign electronic invoices
• Sending invoices to debtors in Spain

We recommend that you do the following:

1. Delete the log4j-1.2.15.jar file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Exact Software\bin\FacturaE\lib.
2. Run the latest product updater to download the new files.

Tax declaration model 390 (Modelo IVA 390 – 2011)

The model that you were using for the Spanish tax reporting in 2011 is now superseded by a newer version. This results in obsolete files in your system that are no longer downloaded when you update Exact Globe Next.

You are advised to delete the entire 390­_2011 folder and all the contents within. This folder is located in the bin folder of your Exact Globe Next installation folder (typically at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Exact Software\bin\390_2011”).

Note: This deletion applies to all legislations and is not specific to the Spanish legislation. 

Inteco XBRL

A new version of the IntecoAPIXBRLPGC_2.zip file is now available (from product update PU420 SP21 onwards). You will need to remove the previous version before you can decompress and use the new file.

To remove and replace the files:

1. Delete all files and folders in the xbrl folder (usually located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Exact Software\bin\xbrl folder”).
   Note: This deletion applies to all legislations and is not specific to the Spanish legislation.
2. Run the latest product updater for the latest files. The IntecoAPIXBRLPGC_1.zip and IntecoAPIXBRLPGC_2.zip files will be downloaded.
3. Go to Finance > Reports > Cuentas Anuales y Libros > Generacion Hojas Excel and click Start. Click Yes when prompted to decompress the files.

Note that deleting the files for the tax declaration model 390 and Inteco XBRL will not affect the continued operation of the Exact Globe Next software.
