Maintaining reason codes

Introduction

When your customers return goods to you or you return items to your suppliers, the reasons for the returns are stated in the Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) and Return to Vendor (RTV) orders. You can also specify the reasons for entering scrap in the production operations. These reasons are known as reason codes.

Fields

Search

Click this to search for reason codes based on the defined criteria.

Clear

Click this to clear the defined criteria.

Rows

Type the number of rows to be displayed in each screen. If you have set the default number of rows to 50, then 50 rows will be displayed. If more than 50 rows are available, the Previous and Next buttons will be enabled.

Click this to return to the previous list of results.

Click this to go to the next list of results.

Used in

Select the RMA orders check box to search for reason codes used in RMA orders, the RTV orders check box for reason codes used in RTV orders and the Scrap check box for reason codes used in scrap. If you do not select either one, all reason codes will be displayed.

Filter

Select the required option to filter the search that starts with or contains a certain letter or word.

Code

Type the unique code to search for a specific reason code.

Reason

Type a full or partial description of the reason.

Buttons

Delete

Click this to delete the selected reason code. You can only delete reason codes which are not in use.

Open

Click this to view or modify the selected reason code.

New

Click this to create a reason code.

Close

Click this to exit.
