Introduction

Assortment properties are categories that allow you to further group items with similar properties within the same assortment category. Assortment categories are groups of assortment properties that have common characteristics and properties. This page displays a list of assortment properties available for your items.

Roles & rights

To maintain the assortment categories, function right 217 – Maintain Item assortment is required. Users with Item management role have this function right.

For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.

Click this to create a new assortment property.

Description

You can create a new assortment property or modify the assortment property information. To create a new assortment property, click New. Alternatively, you can click next to the assortment category and then click Create: New – Property. To modify the assortment property information, click next to the assortment category. Next, click next to Create: New – Property to see a list of assortment properties, and then click the assortment property you want to modify. You can modify the assortment category description by clicking the assortment category description. By default there are 10 assortment categories that are predefined by the system. For more information, see Modifying Assortment Categories.
