Overview of imported taxonomies

Introduction

You can now import the taxonomy documents to facilitate the creation of financial as well as non-financial business reports using the Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). The taxonomy document defines the concepts and the relationship between concepts in the business reports. Together with the instance documents, meaningful business reports can be produced using XBRL. It is possible to view the list of all the imported taxonomy documents.

Fields

Year

Select the year of the taxonomy documents you want to view. Alternatively, select All to view the taxonomy documents of all the years.

Version

Depending on the selected year, you can select the taxonomy version to view the taxonomy document of the specific version. Alternatively, select All to view all the taxonomy versions of the selected year.

Taxonomy section

In this section, you can view the information of the imported taxonomy documents. The Code column displays the taxonomy codes, Description displays the description of the taxonomy, Version and Year displays the version numbers and the corresponding year of the taxonomy, while File name displays the URL which the taxonomy has been imported from.

Refresh

Click this to view the list of imported taxonomies based on the defined criteria.

Import

Click this to import a taxonomy. For more information, see Importing taxonomies.

Delete

Click this to delete the selected taxonomy.

Note: Once you click this button, the message “When deleting the taxonomy, all the G/L mappings and instance documents which are linked to it, need to be deleted as well.” is displayed if the system detects instance documents in the system. Click OK to proceed with the deletion and you will see the overview of the instance documents where you can manually delete the instance documents that are linked to the selected taxonomy. Alternatively, click Cancel to abort the deletion. For more information, see Overview of instance documents.
