Creating and maintaining job titles

HR ➔ People ➔ Maintain

Introduction

In this screen, you can link job titles, as well as create and edit job titles. You can also link job groups and activities to the job titles.

Fields

Job title

Type a relevant job title. When you click the icon, you can see all the people that have been linked to this job title.

Description

Type a description of the job title.

Job group

Type or select a job group to classify your job title to a group. Click the information icon to can view the job titles and job activities, which are linked to the selected job group.

Job activity

Type or select the job activity that is related to the job title. You can only select job activities related to the job groups that were linked earlier.

Job level

Type the job levels that are possible for the job title. In the person's maintenance screen, you can indicate a specific job level by person. This level however must fall within the given range for the job title.

Security level

Select a security level to which the job title can also be linked. This field is copied automatically in the person's maintenance screen in the General tab.

Profession codes

Type a position code used to classify jobs.

Detailed description

Type a detailed description which is related to the job title.

Attachment

Click this to link a document or attachment to the job title.

Buttons

Save

Click this to save the modified job title.

New

Click this to create a job title.

Close

Click this to exit.
