Introduction
Exact Report Data Provider service provides the support which enables third party Business Intelligence tools, such as Microsoft PowerPivot and Qlik Sense, to retrieve data from Exact Globe Next for your business analytics needs.
The external Business Intelligence tools feed on the data source, and then analyze and transform the data into charts, figures, and statistics, which will allow you to make better business decisions at the right time. For more information on Microsoft PowerPivot and Qlik Sense, see http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/bi/powerpivot.aspx and http://www.qlik.com.
You can create and maintain the administrations on a hosting server. However, the same administration must be created on the other hosting server from where you are accessing.
Only users with the function right Allow retrieving data for report function are able to view all the business information for the respective administration. By default, users with the Administrator role have this function right.
Note:
-
Exact Globe Next only serves as the data source and allows its users to maintain accesses for the Business Intelligence tools in the Reporting screen.
-
Exact Report Data Provider service only supports Business Intelligence tools that use Open Data Protocol.
