The following screen allows you to define the payment condition for the sales invoice.
The information in this document is applicable to product update 405 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
Keep in mind: Click Advanced to expand the search criteria.
Type or select the due date for the payment condition. By default, the due date is displayed based on the due date in the payment condition(s) in the sales invoice condition screen.
Type or select the date of the payment made by the customer for the payment condition. By default, the number of days for the payment condition is displayed (based on the Number of days defined at System ? General ? Countries ? Payment conditions under the Terms tab).
Note: The Payment date will be displayed once the invoice for the payment term has been generated.
Type the percentage of payment for the payment condition. By default, the payment percentage is displayed based on the payment percentage in the payment condition(s) in the sales invoice condition screen.
Type the amount of the payment condition. By default, the amount is displayed based on the amount of the payment condition(s) in the sales invoice condition screen.
Note: You only have to fill in the value at % or Amount. If you fill in the value at %, the value at Amount will change based on the defined value at %. If you fill in the value at Amount, the value at % will change based on the defined value at Amount.
The default currency for payment displayed is based on the Currency defined in sales invoice condition screen under the Payment data section. This information cannot be edited.
Type the number of days for the customer to be entitled to a discount for early payment. For example, if Days is “10”, the customer will be entitled to a discount for settling the payment within 10 days. By default, “0” is displayed.
Type the amount of discount the customer will be entitled to for early payment. For example, if Days is “10” and Discount is $100, the customer will be entitled to a discount of $100 for settling the payment within 10 days. By default, “0” and the Currency defined in the sales invoice condition screen under the Payment data section is displayed.
Note: The Discount box is enabled only if Days is greater than zero.
Type or select the bank account where the payment will be deposited. By default, the bank account displayed is based on the Account number bank defined at System ? General ? Settings, under Company data settings in the Numbers section. You can create bank accounts at Cash flow ? Cash instruments ? Maintain.
The IBAN code is displayed for the cash instrument of your bank account.
Note: This field is only available for the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
The BIC code is displayed for the cash instrument of your bank account.
Select the method of payment such as Cash, Cheque, Collection, Credit card, Debt collection, EFT, Factoring, Letter of credit, On credit, Payment on delivery, Post dated cheque, or Settle. By default, On credit is selected.
Type the name of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the debtor displayed is based on the Invoice to debtor defined at the Sales invoices screen.
Note: Changes made to the name of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor) and the Sales invoices screen.
Type the address of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the address displayed is based on the Address 1 defined at the debtor maintenance under the Basics tab (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor).
Note: Changes made to the address of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance and the Sales invoices screen.
Type the postcode of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the postcode displayed is based on the Postcode defined at the debtor maintenance under the Basics tab (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor).
Note: Changes made to the postcode of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance and the Sales invoices screen.
Type the city of the debtor who will be receiving the invoice. By default, the city displayed is based on the City defined at the debtor maintenance under the Basics tab (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor).
Type or select the country code of the invoiced debtor in the box next to City. By default, the country code displayed is based on the Country defined at the debtor maintenance.
Note: Changes made to the city and/or country code of the invoiced debtor will not be reflected at the debtor maintenance and the Sales invoices screen.
Type or select the invoiced debtor’s bank account number. By default, the bank account number displayed is based on the Bank account defined for the invoiced debtor at the debtor maintenance under the Financial tab in the General section (go to Finance ? Accounts receivable ? Maintain and select the relevant invoiced debtor).
The IBAN code is displayed for the cash instrument of the bank account of the debtor.
The BIC code is displayed for the cash instrument of the bank account of the debtor.
Type the description for the payment term.
This displays the invoiced debtor’s payment reference for the payment term. The payment reference displayed is based on the Your reference defined in the Sales invoices screen.
Note: The Payment reference field will display the reference number of the invoice once an invoice has been generated for the payment term.
Select the check box to block the selected payment term whereby the payment term cannot be processed at Cash flow ? Payments ? Process.
Click Note to add notes to the payment term.
Click this to display all the payment terms.
Click Advanced to display more criteria and click Simple to hide the criteria.
Click this to display the previous payment term.
Note: This button is available only if there is more than one payment term.
Click this to display the next payment term.
Click this if you want the selected payment term to be divided into two equal parts. For example, if the Percentage of the payment term is “10%” and you click Split, the payment term will become two payment terms of 5% (whereby Percentage is “5%”).
Click this to save the changes made to the payment terms.
Click this to exit and return to the sales invoice conditions screen.
