Introduction
Service configurations represent the individual and unique objects that can be serviced. These objects can be individual products or combinations of products that can be serviced. Service configurations can even include related parts on multiple levels within the configuration. This makes it possible to identify a simple piece of equipment up till a complex group of machines with multiple serviceable parts within these machines.
The configuration consists of one of more serviceable items and there parts. Click the hyperlink of the item to open the edit page. Here, you have an overview of this configuration item with children belonging to the item, and you can edit or add a part.

How do I edit a service configuration item?
- On the Service: Search - Configurations page, define the relevant criteria.
- Click Show.
- Click the hyperlinked configuration item required under the Configuration column.
- On the selected configuration item page, click Edit.
- Make the changes required.
- Click Save.
How do I add a part to the service configuration item?
- On the Service: Search - Configurations page, define the relevant criteria.
- Click Show.
- Click the hyperlinked configuration item required under the Configuration column.
- On the selected configuration item page, click Add in the Service configuration items section. This displays a new page where parts can be added to the configuration item.

Click this to add a part to this configuration item.

Click this to exit.

Parent section
Item
This is the itemcode and description of the configuration item
Serial number
The serial number is optional but can be filled to define which item it is.
Quantity
How many of this item are part of the configuration
Start date
When is this item added to the configuration
End date
When is this item removed from the configuration. The end date lets you build a historie on the service configuration.
Configuration Item Children section
This section displays all items that are linked as part / child to this configuration item. You can add a combinations of products under a single configuration item, you can even make multiple levels because a part can contain a part. This to identify service critical parts within a service item, for example, a filter or pump within a machine.
Item code
This shows the item code of the part
Description
This shows the description of the part
Quantity
This shows how many of this part are in the configuration item
Serial Number
This shows the serial number if the part has one
Serial Number Description
The description of the serial number is shown here
Start Date
When is this part added to the configuration item.
