Comparing Performance Review Scores between Resources
Introduction
At this screen, you can compare the performance review scores obtained by a employee with another employee.
Menu path
Go to HRM/Reports/People/People, define the relevant criteria, and click Show. Click the name of the employee under the Name column, and then click the hyperlink at Performance review profiles. Depending on the scenarios, you may be directed to different screens, as described in the following:
- If you are the reviewer of the active profile or have the HR role, you will see the active profile. Click Compare.
- If you are not the reviewer of the active profile, but a reviewer of other profiles for this employee, you will see the profiles listing. Click under the Review column for the profile which you are the reviewer, and then click Compare.
- If you are not the reviewer of any profile and if the HRM corporate settings have been defined to allow you to view your own performance review profiles as described in the Roles & rights section, you will see the active profile if the status of the active profile is Final. Click Compare.
- If the eployee does not have an active profile, you will see the profiles listing. Click under the Review column to see the profile which you are the reviewer, and then click Compare.
Roles & rights
- To view performance review profiles and use the comparison functionality, function right 99 – View performance review is required. Users with the HR role have this function right. However, if you do not have the rights but are the reviewer for the employee, you can also view the active performance review profile of the employee and use the comparison functionality.
- If you do not have any of the roles and you are not a reviewer, you can view your own performance profiles and compare the performance review profile scores with the norm values if the Review: View profiles check box is selected under the Performance review section in the HRM corporate settings. For more information, see Defining HRM General Settings.
- To maintain performance review profiles, function right 107 – Maintain performance review is required. Users with the HR role have this function right.
For more details on what you can do with function rights or levels, go to System/Setup/Security/Function rights, select the required module, and then click on the relevant ID. To find out the functions you can perform with a particular role, go to System/Setup/Security/Roles, type in the description, click Refresh, and then click the required link under the Role column.
Button
Edit
Click this to rate the attributes of the employee.
Note: You can only give ratings to the employee if you are the reviewer of the profile. This button is not available if the status of the profile is Completed. For more information, see Reviewing and Calculating Performance Review Profiles.
Reopen
Click this to reopen the performance review profile and modify the ratings given.
Note: This is available only when the performance review has been completed and if you are the reviewer of the profile.
Review
Click this to return to the view mode of the profile screen. For more information, see Viewing Performance Review Profiles.
Profiles
Click this to view the performance review profiles listing of the employee. For more information, see Viewing Performance Review Profiles Listing.

Click this to exit.
Description
Compare with: Norm value section
From
Type or select the employee to compare the performance review scores with the scores obtained by this employee.
Profile
Select a performance review profile which is linked to the selected employee at From to compare the performance review scores with the performance review scores of this profile. This is mandatory.
Compare
Click this to compare the performance review scores between the employees based on the defined criteria.
General section
Person
This displays the name of the employee which the performance review profile belongs to. Click the hyperlink to view the personal card of this employee. The number of years and months displayed in the brackets indicate the employment period of the employee.
Job title, Level
This displays the job title and the level of the employee.
Manager
This displays the manager of the employee which the performance review profile belongs to. Click the hyperlink to view the personal card of the manager.
Performance review section
Reference date
This displays the date the profile is created. This date is defined in the Profile: Start date field when generating the performance review profile at HRM/Setup/Performance review management/Generate performance review profile or in the Start date field if you are generating the performance review profile at the personal card. Click the hyperlink to view and maintain the performance review profile. For more information, see Maintaining Performance Review Profiles.
Reviewed by
This displays the name of the reviewer. Click the hyperlink to view the personal card of the reviewer.
Rating
The rating for the employee will be displayed when the performance review has been completed.
Remarks
Mouse over to view additional notes about the performance review.
Performance review section
This section displays the listing of attributes that will be rated for the employee, the weight, and scores for each attribute. Only attributes that are linked to field types with type defined as Value will be taken into account when the final rating is calculated. For more information on field types and values, see Creating and Modifying Field Types for Competences, Attributes, and Targets of Applicants or Employees.
Before you click Compare to compare the performance review scores with the scores of another employee based on the defined criteria, this section will display the weight of each attribute in the performance review profile under the Weight column, while the Score column displays the scores for each attribute. Mouse over to view additional notes about each attribute.
Once you have clicked Compare, you will see an additional Norm value column which displays the performance review scores of the employee being compared with. With this column, you can compare the performance review scores of the two employees. Under the Score column, the performance review scores of the employee which the performance review profile belongs to will be displayed, followed by indicators of , , or which means the performance review scores of the employee you are viewing, is below, above, or equal to the performance scores obtained by the employee who you are comparing with.
