What To Do if the Import Of CSV File Via XML Server Fails

Introduction

In Exact Globe, comma separated value (CSV) files can be imported via XML. However, if the CSV files are not successfully imported, you can view the results of the import whereby error messages of the failed files will be displayed.

Description

If the import of the CSV file via the XML server fails, you can do the following:

1.    As soon as you have imported the CSV file via the XML server, you will see the following screen:

2.    Click Note icon.png at Messages. The error messages of the imported file will be displayed.

3.    Check the error messages. For more information, see XML Error Messages and Explanations.

4.    Click Open file icon.png at Error file in the Result screen to check the rejected field in the error file. A field can be rejected because the value of the field is not valid in Exact Globe.

5.    You can solve the problem with the rejected field based on the following solutions:

·         Create the rejected value in Exact Globe.

·         Change the value in the import file to a value that is valid in Exact Globe.

·         Delete the value in the related field and import the CSV file again. Make sure the Import empty value option is not selected. By doing so, this field will not be rejected but the deleted value will not be imported.
