You can allocate items in the sales orders by going to Orders > Entries > Sales orders, select an existing sales order or click New to allocate items for a new sales order. Next, click the Conditions button.
This section displays all the items in the selected sales order, and the items that have been allocated.
Note: It is possible that not all the columns in this example are displayed. You can add or delete columns as required. For more information, see Inserting and deleting columns.
Note: If the Fulfillment date at Order > Entries > Picking list is defined (whereby the All check box is not selected), only the item(s) in the selected sales order with the fulfillment date(s) equal to or earlier than the specified date can be allocated. Priority will be given to the item with the earliest fulfillment date.
Note: The Notes icon and Attachment icon (last two icons) are not enabled.
Click this icon to insert notes for the selected item. For more information, see Creating and maintaining notes.
Click this icon to attach a new file or view the attached files of the selected item. For more information, see Viewing attached documents.
Click this icon to view the instruction(s) of the selected item. By default, the instruction displayed is based on the Instruction defined for the item in the order lines in the Sales orders screen (go to Order > Entries > Sales orders, select the relevant sales order, and then click Open).
This section displays the stock availability and purchase(s) made for the selected item (the item selected in the Requirements section).
Select the warehouse of the item selected in the Requirements section that you want to display. All the free stock that is available for the item in the selected warehouse, and all the production orders, and purchase orders created for the item with the selected warehouse will be displayed. Select All warehouses to display the free stock available for the item, production orders, and purchase orders created for the item from all the warehouses.
Click this icon to insert notes for the selected purchase order or production order for the item selected in the Requirements section. For more information, see Creating and maintaining notes.
Note: This icon is enabled only if a production order or purchase order is selected from the overview (the Type column displays “Free: Production order” or “Free: Purchase order”).
Click this icon to attach a new document or view the documents that are attached to the production order or purchase order for the item selected in the Requirements section. For more information, see Viewing attached documents.
Click this to generate a production order for the selected item. For more information, see Generating production orders when allocating items in picking lists.
Note: Production orders can be generated only for item(s) with the Make attribute.
Click this to generate a purchase order (back-to-back order) for the selected item. For more information, see Generating purchase orders when allocating items in picking lists.
Note: Purchase orders can be generated only for item(s) with the Buy attribute.
Click this to view the sales order. For more information, see Creating and maintaining sales orders.
Click this to view the selected purchase order or production order. For more information on purchase orders, see Creating and maintaining purchase orders. For more information on production orders, see Creating and maintaining production orders.
Note: This button is enabled only if a purchase order or production order (the Type column displays “Free: Production order” or “Free: Purchase order”) in the Free section is selected.
Click this to allocate the item selected in the Requirements section.
Note: The item can be allocated only if the quantity in the Ordered/Available column (in the Free section) is equal to or more than the quantity in the Ordered column (in the Requirements section).
Click this to cancel the allocation for the item selected in the Requirements section.
Note: This button is enabled only if the item has been allocated (the Allocated column in the Requirements section displays a green check mark), or the item has not been fulfilled.
Click this to exit.
