Introduction
In this screen, you can perform the following actions:
- Define the order that the productions are scheduled in when doing a Global Schedule and the duration of the Firm Zone.
- Define the background color for the timeframe of each operation in the Shop overview form when the load on an operation reaches a specified percentage of its capacity.
- Define the background color for the timeframe of each operation in the Operation zoom in form when the load on an operation reaches a specified percentage of its capacity and define whether to display the production number, part number, and customer ID in the Scheduled Zone of a job operation.
- Define the order and the information to be displayed on the Gantt bar in the Operation zoom in screen.
What version are you using?
The information in this document is applicable to product update 406 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
How do I define the preferences?
- In the Selection: Production order screen, define the criteria to display only the production orders that you want to view in the scheduler.
- Click Start.
- Click Settings. Alternatively, click Op. zoom in at the toolbar, and then click Settings.
- Click Preferences. The Visual scheduler preferences screen will be displayed.
- Make the relevant changes, and then click OK.
Tabs
General tab
This tab allows you to define the default order that the production orders will be scheduled in when doing a global scheduling and the duration of the Firm Zone.
Production finite scheduling sequence
Select the up or down arrow to change the sequence that the productions are scheduled based on the order of the criteria.
Firm zone settings - Length
Type a number to define the span of the Firm Zone. This value corresponds with the Duration field.
Firm zone settings - Duration
Select Days, Weeks, Months, or Years to define the duration that corresponds with the value in the Length field.
Shop overview tab
This tab allows you to define the background color of each operation to be displayed in the timeframe when the load on an operation reaches a specified percentage of its capacity. You can also define the default horizon or date range displayed in the Shop overview form.
Display options section
Type the percentage of capacity in the respective fields. When the load on an operation is less than or has reached the capacity specified, the background color will change according to the color specified.
Default horizon section
Type the values to define the number of days prior to today and the number of days after the duration of the Firm Zone to specify the default date range displayed in the Shop overview form. The load of each operation displayed is calculated based on the date range.
Operation zoom in tab
This tab allows you to define the background color to display in the timeframe of each operation in the Operation zoom in form. You can also define the code of the make items, labels, and load/capacity to be displayed in the timeframe of each operation.
Display options section
Type the percentage of capacity in the respective fields. When the load on an operation is less than or has reached the capacity specified, the background color will change according to the color specified.
Display: User settings section
Bar info.
Select the required options from the drop-down boxes to display the information in order of precedence on the Gantt bar (in the Operation zoom in form).
Note: If nothing has been defined, by default, all three information namely, Debtor, Make item, and Production order will be displayed.
Labels
Select this check box to display the label of the production order or make item in the Operation zoom in form.
Load / Capacity (Hours)
Select this check box to display the load and capacity hours of an operation in the Operation zoom in form.
3-row view
Select this check box to view the information on the bars (displayed on the Gantt bar in the Operation zoom in form) in three rows. The types of information displayed on the bars are dependent on the options selected at Bar info.. If this check box is selected and only two types of information are defined at Bar info., the bars displayed on the Gantt bar will still have three rows, but the last row will be empty.
Tooltip
Click the Selection button to display the Tooltip display order screen. This allows you to define the relevant information to be shown at the production order tooltip. To do so, move the required option(s) from the Available column to the Selected column.
Buttons
OK
Click this to save the defined settings.
Cancel
Click this to exit.
