Connectivity Manual - Introduction
Introduction
This manual describes the possibilities for importing data in Exact Financials. This can be done via data import, EDIS (Exact Data Interface System) or via a direct interface using the IFALL modules.
In Exact System in the menu 'Data' you can see how data can be imported. This data should be formatted as a csv- file (comma separated value).
With EDIS you can transfer data from one application ("third application") to Exact Financials via the Exact Data Interface System (EDIS). Before transferring data, you need to create a link between the "third application" database and the Exact Financials database. This link can be built in EDIS. Once this link has been built, you can import data as often as you like without manual interference.
In Exact Financials, the IFALL (Interface Alliances) modules take care of the validation of data. For example, changing debtor data or the creation of a financial entry. The benefit of the IFALL modules is that they can centralize the check on business logic in Exact Financials. The IFALL modules can be used as a standard check to see whether your data complies with the requirements of Exact Financials.
