You can create and maintain layouts by clicking in this screen to go to the Layout screen. Among the available features are creating layouts, previewing, editing, copying, and deleting existing layouts. For all the sections in Document settings including Financial, Cash flow, CRM, HRM, Service, and Logistics, you will see a similar Layout screen with buttons when you click .
The information in this document is applicable to product update 407 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.
This displays the name of the layout.
This displays the description of the layout.
This displays the covering letter of the layout.
Click this to display the Covering letter screen. You can select the layout to be used as a covering letter by clicking at Layout in the Covering letter screen.
Preview
Click this to see the preview of the selected layout.
New
Click this to create a layout. For more information, see Creating and maintaining layouts.
Edit
Click this to edit the selected layout. For more information, see Creating and maintaining layouts.
Copy
Click this to copy an existing layout. You will be asked to name the new layout. After naming it, click Copy to save or Close to cancel.
Delete
Click this to delete the selected layout. You cannot delete template layouts.
Select
Click this to select the layout for use as the default layout for a particular document.
In the Document settings screen, if you see next to , the message “Link this layout to all debtors (or creditors) without a layout linked?” will be displayed after you click the Select button in the Layout screen. Click Yes to link the layout to all debtors or creditors or No if you do not want to link the layout to all creditors or debtors.

Click this to exit.
